i think the case like you pointed out where the score was already removed is worth further delving. it helps make the case and establsih the precedent as to why these scores can be removed. consistency is important

Given the commonality of the removed scores, it is beyond conjecture why they were omitted or remove. It is crystal clear why. I've already delved LOL! They were removed/omitted almost exclusively in tracks where the putative leader(s) was a former TG referee.

and how long have you been at TG? and how obvious is that to you just be seeing the PUBLIC forums which were even more obvious when they were current!!!!!!!

the only way they hid their dirty little not so secret was bannings and pushing out the "trouble makers" who spoke up. all of tg had corruption, but my god, atari was absurd

check out it was made by a former member who regularly spoke up against the issues -- so dont let anyone tell you "none of us knew noone brought it to our attention". After frustration and being accused of him being the problem for trying to correct the problem he created a site with fair scores (that unfortunatley only records first place, but at least its first places that are real), bounties (thats right he'll pay you to beat atari scores), and all sorts of archives of old game scores

The first time I ever heard about TwinGalaxies was 4 months ago. I signed up on one of the last days of January.

Regarding the rest, I see your point, however, The last thing I would do is accuse the former refs of malfeasance. In fact, if anything, this just shows that they were doing their job in omitting/removing these offending scores ... unfortunately, for the most part they apparently only did so on tracks they participated in, when *all* of these offending scores should have never been put in to begin with, and removed immediately upon discovery. They may have just simply not been looking for them, and happened upon them as they participated in their respective tracks.

you know what i dont believe that, but i like the diplomacy as it has a better chance to work. and ultmately what matters is fixing the scores. I'm willing to follow your example in the disputes and take that polite attitude of just looking at the precedent and asking to finish the job

here you have ron corcoran (atari super cheating corrupt ref) sharing his email from rtm about their plan to remove all affiliate scores, and though i agree with your semantics of "affiliate" never being the right word, it was a word used (and for some reason only in the past few years were may "affiliate" changed to "referree"). This should further help the precedent that all these scores were meant to be removed and just missed

non diplomatic me -- i dont think its a coincidence ron could catch and remove the scores that beat him, but left behind scores on tracks he and other refs competed on when it was lower than theirs and made them look like they beat more people.

Ironic that the precedent link you shared was posted by Ron Corcoran.
