If I were to play this game on an XBox 360, where would I submit it? I assume I'd have to create a bunch of XBox 360 tracks for it, even though it's an XBox game?

You would have to submit to the Xbox console only.

if the game is for the original xbox, even if you are playing on a 360, the records have to be submitted to the original xbox platform.

I'm surprised that isn't tracked already-the same game is on PS2 and is tracked, if you want to glance at the track rules/setups there-not that you have to do them exactly the same, but just to give you an idea of how they are set up.

Given that the 360 has original Xbox back compat through emulation, I wouldn't think that playing on the 360 would be accepted.

That is why I agree that the scores should not be accepted. The X360 emulates the xbox games. Where the PS3 (some console versions not all), PS2, Nintendo Wii U, Wii, Sega Genesis, have backward compatibility via old hardware built in from previous console.

Oh, I missed the main point, sorry Guys!!!

Here I have to say "I don't know"-better off listening to GibGirl and Timmell-I have zero experience with X-Box anything, so I don't want to speak out of turn, my comments were meant to help create tracks, but it definitely has to be a properly compatible system.

Yep. General rule is hardware back compat is accepted, emulation-based back compat is not.

(But then there's the Xbox One...)

Okay, so based on your experience, how should I title a new track for this game? Let assume I want to play the Atari 2600 Millipede option on this XBox game, playing it in an XBox 360 ... Would I put something like:

XBox 360 - NTSC - XBox Emulated - Atari Anthology: Millipede - Points

And, create the track under the XBox 360 category? Or the XBox regular category?

... or something to that effect?

... or just not create the track at all, and just bite the bullet and buy an old XBox?

fyi, i love tgsap and agree with above comments, so i'm not trying to muddy the water, but to avoid confusion when you do older stuff, the old tg was not as logical. the old rule was just officila hardware. so the super gameboy being the most atrocious example was allowed for gameboy submissions. but also, less known is playing atari 2600 on coleco vision would've been tolerated too. for old stuff we need to be consistent and we're stuck the crap rule that any official (not homebrew/hack) is allowed.

I'd say bite the bullet and buy an original Xbox. I'd imagine if you keep your eyes open you should be able to pick one up pretty cheap now. I mean, you could probably make one for the 360, but it'd probably do better for competition from others to keep it on the original console.

I just thought of something: based on the feedback so far, what we have here is an XBox 360 emulating an XBox game emulating an Atari 2600 LOL

Meh ... you're definitely right. There are already hundreds of tracks existing for this title under OG XBox, so perhaps acquiring an XBox may be in order.

Wait until there's a good Xbox 360 emulator that will run this. :)

I wish we could just submit scores, then tick all the boxes: Game Name, Platform played on, Emulator used, etc.

Filter the results after when producing reports. That would take a database re-architecture though, which aint easy.
