When I was a kid, Marvel had a set of trading cards consisting of heroes and villains. Any card that was a prism or hologram was rare and worth alot of money. Now I have my own!

I had one of those - Spider-man vs Venom Hologram. I traded it for a slingshot and $5 in the 5th grade. For a while in the late 90s it was worth about $100 and I felt really dumb. Now it's worth more in the $25-$30 range and I feel that a slingshot for 5th grade me was a better trade.

I still have my original card, it's extremely special to me because I wanted it really bad but the card at the time cost $80 dollars. I had pretty good luck but never expected to ever open a pack and find one. I remember being at the comic book store, using my entire allowance for the week to order a pack. In front of the store owner and several others I opened my pack. At that moment no one was paying attention to me until my face lit up when I discovered I had this rare card. I didn't make a sound or anything, but everyone noticed me, and seen I had the card. The owners offered to buy it off me, but I declined. Although my comic collection and cards would go into storage never to be seen again I always kept this card where I went. I plan to get it framed along with my Walter Day cards and Dragster patch (which I bought online two years ago).
