Atari 7800 ProSystem Craigslist grab

Latest grab, this clean (few scratches), working Atari 7800 console, controllers, etc. This is one system I never owned or ever played until today. A/V mod kit and a few more games (Winter Games, Pole Position 2) ordered and on their way.

7800 ProSystem, 2 original controllers, DK Jr, Dig Dug and Galaga 7800 carts... Dig Dug, Pac-Man, Asteroids, RealSports Tennis, Freeway and Yars Revenge 2600 carts.

I always thought this system was huge like the 5200...

I'd recommend buying the European 7800 game pad. Way better than the nonsense we got stuck with lol

    It's like 7800-gold..

They usually go for between $30 and $40 used. There was an ebay dude selling brand new ones for years, for $50..but I don't see him now.

If you do buy one, definitely open it up and clean the rubber pieces and contacts - Unlike other controllers that can withstand some build up of "dirt", these are picky. Once clean though, it's an ace.

Also, you can't tell by looking, but the d-pad stick screws off. While the stick seems like a good idea, it works better with it off.. It's like an NES pad with it off.

Cool, thanks for that! I'll give these US sticks a go when I decide to get serious and play this machine and will keep an eye out for a good deal on one of those Euro stick/pads. Very odd Atari didn't release that controller in the US... but then again, it's Atari :P
