The "That's Incredible" video game tournament, broadcast by ABC-TV on January 9, 1983, that had qualifiers in Ottumwa, IA, was a significant event in the history of competitive video gaming. However, I cant seem to find the specific names of all the 19 players who participated in the event readily available.

Does anyone have this information?

No lie, I love that this is interesting to you , Jace.

I've never been a "puppet"-have been "Everybody's Buddy"(Thanks, Al!!!), all the way to "whatanasshole", lol, but never schmoozed to admin.

Always respected it tho, I know "who is the Boss", I know you know that.

The reason you run this site, and are vested in it, is because you give a crap about it, and what it stands for/has stood for, I can totally see/buy that.

So Thanks.

There isn't much mention of further detail on who was invited and what the criteria was.

https://allincolorforaquarter.blogspot.com/2013/02/thats-incredible-north-american-video.html

"Day invited 21 of the top players to compete in the event. Only two failed to participate, including Billy Mitchell. Mitchell wanted to attend but after the expense of the Life magazine trip he decided that he didn't want to spend any more money or take any more days off from school." Just shows another time Billy was beating around the bush.
