Dear Community,

I wanted to take a moment to ask for your help in voting on and adjudicating the growing number of ThecePlay Bounty Challenge submissions. Your participation and expertise in this process have never been more critical to our shared success.

I know I’ve been mostly quiet, but that will be changing soon. In 2025, Twin Galaxies will be entering an exciting new chapter—and you, our dedicated community, are at the center of this transformation. With Theceplay’s launch and the rapid increase in submissions, your role in adjudication is vital to ensuring our growth and success.

The reason I’ve been quiet is because we’ve been developing a powerful new business plan for Twin Galaxies as an organization. We are nearly ready to present it as a major investment opportunity to our industry contacts and partners. For the first time, we’re seeking direct investment solely focused on advancing Twin Galaxies’ platform and community. From a community perspective, this funding will enable us to:

- Enhance platform features and resources for our community

- Host more community-centric events and represent Twin Galaxies at expos

- Expand our global reach and welcome new members

- Work to create monetization and compensation opportunities for adjudicators and achievers

- Promote Twin Galaxies achievements across social media to elevate recognition of our members

- Potentially publish an annual “Twin Galaxies Compendium” book, featuring Twin Galaxies records alongside editorial sections and records from other gaming communities

I want to acknowledge the patience of the community, as our engineering team has spent the past year re-engineering the platform as a separate new site from the ground up. This has made it challenging to quickly address all issues on the current active site, and I know that response times have occasionally been delayed due to limited resources. Your patience has been greatly appreciated. The new, modern Twin Galaxies site is now undergoing testing and refinement, and it still has a ways to go but we hope to launch it soon. This system will provide faster speeds, increased functionality, and an enhanced user experience—all while preserving the integrity that defines our community. Fingers crossed!

As mentioned above, part of our business plan has been to explore ways to reward your dedication. With enough success, we aim to establish a system where Twin Galaxies can buy submission points from members at an exchange rate, providing a direct economic benefit for active adjudicators like you. Every submission you review and each decision you make helps build the credibility that attracts new resources and opportunities to our platform.

I know everything isn’t perfect, and Twin Galaxies has its challenges. But I believe we’re all collectively doing our best to move things forward. Thank you for being part of this journey. Together, I hope we can build a Twin Galaxies that honors our history and embraces an even brighter future!

Please help adjudicate these submissions!

Humbly,

Jace

It would be helpful if the "Test Bounties" were removed. Some are labelled Test and some are questionable, whereas others now seem clear.

I love that TG is moving forward with all of this.

I like the idea of an annual “Twin Galaxies Compendium” book.

I like that you want to promote Twin Galaxies achievements across social media to elevate recognition of our members.

Thank you for all the hard work.

question?
I would love to see some type of official streaming platform for world record attempts on TG. Is there any thought or plans of doing anything like this?

I'd gladly take part in this to help Twin Galaxies better.

Does anyone have any hints on counting the matches? I've literally fallen asleep watching these and on multiple occasions losing count through boredom.

Very few of the submissions go to the summary screen and show the Wins to confirm the counts by slowly scrolling though. I have a notepad open and track the wins (i.e. 1-Bugs Bunny, 2-Superman, ...). Not ideal but it works given the submissions. I have rejected a handful as the count has been overestimated (submitted for 11 and only won 5), and approved 2 that undercounted (achieved 8 but submitted for 7 as an example). I have also had to reject 2 for no audio, required in the rules, and abstained from 1 that did not show the summary screen as indicated in the rules.

I've basically done what Troy has outlined above. Thus far, I've posted in the submission threads to give players info if they want to submit again, and I've mostly focused on adjudicating the smaller consecutive victory submissions as they're easier to manage. :) My plan was to focus on those larger submissions on the weekend when I'm more rested.

Thanks to you both. The notepad thing had crossed my mind. I was hoping I was simply missing a passive quantifying method (like there is in a certain other game of very similar ilk) buried in the features of the game but if the operator isn't scrolling at the end, as Troy mentions often doesn't, then I guess not.

Does anyone know if the game will forcibly deny repeat match ups (some of these are into the 100+ range) or are the rules only intended to deny the use of the rematch button?

The only rule I have noticed is the deny rematch. So if a submission shows fighting the same character twice in a row I check that it is not the same player just the same character. If the player fights the same person at fight #3 and again at with #80 I consider that valid as it is random assignment the gamer has no control over.

ATTENTION COMMUNITY:

We have discussed certain submission and rule concerns with Warner Bros., and they have opted to allow greater flexibility in submission requirements to prevent participants from needing to reupload lengthy performances.

As a general rule, Twin Galaxies discourages making adjustments to leaderboard criteria once performances have been adjudicated and posted on the leaderboard. This concern was brought up in our discussions; however, since this specific leaderboard pertains to a gaming challenge organized by Warner Bros., they retain the authority to decide if a performance should be validated under modified criteria.

For Twin Galaxies’ internal leaderboards—those that govern official world records—rule modifications post-submission are far more challenging to implement due to strict policies governing those records.

Please note that the recent rule changes by Warner Bros. are solely aimed at increasing submission inclusion rather than enforcing any form of disqualification or exclusion. Whether it is a sponsored bounty challenge or not, Twin Galaxies’ policy does not permit rule changes that would lead to the disqualification of previously adjudicated performances that adhered to the original rules.

The updated rule text is as follows:

Original rule text:
"Capture uninterrupted video of your entire session, from the game menu to your final match. The video must include game audio and show the ‘Recent Matches’ list from the ‘Career’ section of the game menu with final results that match the win streak."

Updated rule text:
"You must capture uninterrupted video of your entire session, from the game menu to your final match. It is highly recommended, but not required, that your video include in-game audio and display the ‘Recent Matches’ list from the ‘Career’ section of the game menu with final results that match the win streak. Following these recommendations can help adjudicators feel more confident in the overall legitimacy of your performance and expedite processing."

If you previously voted NO on any performance solely due to the absence of in-game audio or the lack of a 'Recent Matches' display, please revisit that submission and adjust your adjudication accordingly.
