@Jace & TG members Why Funspot arcade, will not allow players to record Dip Switch game settings?

1. Why did Funspot arcade stop letting players record dip switch game settings? The real reason.

Question to Jace Hall -> 2. Is their a feud, a misunderstanding, something bad happened in the past between Twin Galaxy staff/members & Funspot employee, management, owner, tech etc.?

Here below in the link from WR performance from the Great awesome player Pete Hahn,he could not record TG dip switch game settings & their are 8 difficulty settings that can be selected. Do we trust word of mouth. TGSAP requires that we show it.

3. Are we going back to Referee & the group saw it & vote Yes?

I have to agree with @RTM that anyone who claims that they are experts on all submissions they have adjudicated are full of it. Part of my interest on this site is to learn about games I haven't played by watching others play. Also I hate when a novice on a particular game asks a question about a submission, and there is sometimes this ''stuck up'' attitude from more experienced gamers on the title. Like ''how dare you to ask that'' or ''stop asking question cause you don't know anything about this game''; is it so wrong for people to try to learn?

It is unfortunate that ACAM not allow video recording and/or record the inside of a cabinet.

Given that there are very few places in the world with so many arcade machines still in operation.

Most likely the only place where arcade game titles are still be able to play on.

I think we need a filantroop, somebody that will willingly invest in an IT systems that will do the following:

    - setup inside above the cabinet a video camera which will record each game played

    - setup an additional record button which will activate the recording system

    - setup internal camera that will automatically record the inside of a cabinet which the game is played upon

    - setup an auto feed to sent the video to a USB, which the userc an plugin on the side

Here then we will be able to use technology that will aid in gamers still play their favorite games

and encourage game recordings without a techie worry about his "gamecard" or priorities keeping

the games working not be completed.

Any more ideas on this, maybe someone who know someone can convince that their a investment

opportunity contributing in aiding preservation of arcade gaming.

FYI - Funspot hardly has scores entered on Aurcade anymore.

Pete Hahn's score on Black Tiger was much higher at Funspot than his home arcade Galloping Ghost. The dip switch settings would be helpful to determine if the Aurcade settings are what they are supposed to be. The claim oh well the can't pull out the game and show the MB doesn't wash...GGA has 750 machines and 2-3 attendents depending on crowd size. So that excuse doesn't wash.

agreed and i told rtm i agreed with his literal words. but the words were an argument to fly. and unlesss i misread fly, he wasnt saying only experts exist, i took his comment to mean only experts should argue. anyone can and should ask questions. anyone can adjudicate. but i dont think people who dont what they're talking about should argue too passionatley about the sub they're ignorant on. and thats all i took fly's comment to mean which i agree with.

It is not an excuse. It is a reality. Funspot is not willing to service the high score community. If you want to make an acception perhaps a hefty donation would change their minds.
