Twin Galaxies members 1. Should a 2 player game combined score be stopped when 1 player game ends?

Mario brothers, Joust, and many other 2 player video games. In many cases you will have a player a lot better than his partner and he or she can score a few thousand or million points more to be added to final 2-player combined score. Would this be ok with Twin Galaxies members as WR.

Mario Bros and Joust both already have it in their rules that the scoring attempt ends once one of the players loses all of their lives. All two player variations should.. To continue on after one player uses all of their lives, would just be a 'glorified' 1 player game.
