books are obsolete. but a dvd would actulaly be even more obsolete in this case since anyone can just look up the records online so i'm not sure what the point of a dvd whos data is already old by the time you get it is. at least books obsolete as they are have a nostalgia charm to some boomers.

in this day and age its all about the badges.

    Books...Nostalgia...Snowflake...pissing off Terr...

    Can't resist.

I've never trusted myself to "learn well" on the internet.

Some things are cut and dried, videos of how to take stuff apart and such, where you can SEE what is going on, I find those useful.

Somehow tho, I guess I buy into the "anyone can print anything on the internet" philosophy, and it would be my own dumbness that would lead me into misinformation.

For some reason, I feel like if someone goes to the effort to publish/print an actual "book", that information carries at least a little more weight, in it's authenticity, but I also understand that that is not necessarily always the case.

Lol, I've actually started nostalgically "recollecting" books, the main reason I chimed in(tho I dunno if I am a "boomer"-I'm open to that revelation I suppose).

My Dragonlance stuff, Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy, but mostly...

    NINJA Magazine!!!

    :D

Wife let me go nuts, get my "bookbag magazines" from middle school-I was gonna be a Ninja before I decided to be a Rock Star, I had kinda forgotten.

Lol, imagine me playing video games with "Ninja Mentality"...

    You Guys might be screwed.

    :P

well sure roger yes, a book by tg versus a random blogcarries more weight. but a book by tg versus the website by tg, i think the website by tg that gets updated daily is gonna carry way more weight than a book that cites that same website as its source.

but when you guys are done riding your dinosaurs around, and wanna relax to a nice book in the cave to gently read by torchlight dont let me tell you how to spend your money. you earned it selling all that wooly mammoth meat you worked so hard to hunt

and just to further dig the knife in. in 2020, who do you think has more credibilty? a drunk 2 year old with a blog or guiness world "records" with a book lol

Every book is online. Physical books are over.

"Oh, but nothing can beat the feel of the book in your hands, its texture, its essence running through your body as you turn page by beautiful page".......................What?? LOL

    OVER!

    lol.
