Twin Galaxies and Guinness book are still linked right?

Twin Galaxies is still the official source for the Guinness Book of World Records correct? I was just curious as I see other sites that do speed runs and points.

I would say that TG is still a source that can be used Guinness, but TG is not an exclusive provider of video game-related content. Speedrun.com has some "partnered challenges" that provide opportunities for speedrunners to be included in future Guinness editions. There was a similar arrangement here a few years back with the GWR tracks. In either case, Guinness also has the discretion to acknowledge any feat from either site in their publication, although presumably a formal "partnership" seems to have additional mutual sponsorship/in-kind services attached.

the GWR category i noticed no longer has notice on "next snapshot" making me think its obsolete. if it is obsolete, i know no track gets grandfathered, but this seems a special case where submitters might think the track means something it doesnt. perhaps they should be moved from the gwr to their actual platforms track? or perhaps they should come with a warning at least?

the tracks are slow to be adjudicated, if they're obsolete people should know

I sent some PM's to Guinness here on TG, and never received any responses.

I'll try messaging them on their main website to see if they still acknowledge their tracks here.
