My children had one each back when the first DS was the only DS (the original R4's didn't work on subsequent DS versions like the Lite). Same concept as the Everdrives, for sure... just this one was available during the console's primary commercial life.

Duh, voted. Two significant pluses from the video: you've got a scrolling power-on highly suggestive of a SD feed through a device which has to catch up with the new signal (think VHS/CRT TVs). The Atari Ultimate SD Cartridge isn't emulated yet: so the flashcard isn't emulated - must be plugged...

Plenty of broken things but not so many through rage mainly through (over-)use. For the rage side, keyboard space bars are the prime target with a heavy thumb, escalating to the entire keyboard with a slap or fist. Controllers tend to get thrown only if they break first - they're too badly made

ESI Forumula as a Measurement of Skill - Fail (A better score resulted in less skill points)
As has been mentioned, your new score reduced the overall pool of available ESI points because you reduced the overall difference in "skill" expressed by the numbers. I don't agree that you've

This is both the good and bad of not having global rules.
Good: The community works together to ensure the rules are consistently updated and meets the requirements of the community.Bad: They're not written down in a centralised location for easy access.Good: They're not written down in

It is logical from the rules for this track that an arcade emulator was intended. However, Rodrigo is correct: the track title should depict that in its name as Pac-Man (the game) exists on many different consoles which could just as easily be emulated on the Raspberry Pi. Still going with an...

The problem behind the stories of my own programming is the code isn't published or is so esoteric that only a small audience ever experienced it. Probably the easiest to describe was a game of Tetris written in Pascal for DOS back in the mid 90s, lost on a floppy death. :(Over more recent years

My adjudicating is hardly consistent speed anymore. I worked hard at it for the first couple of years to ensure "old TG" ideas & values were held up. The primary crowd at TG still uphold those ideas & values and many are new-era people which is great. Multiple of the old ideas have

Keyboards, all digits. The "classic" position I used as a kid was Q = Up, A = Down, O = left, P = right and Space (or other bottom row) = Fire. I could not understand the crazy people that used N = left, M = right or even the lefties that swapped over the up/down left/right sides. Joystick

This does make sense as the top scores are no longer "further away" from the pack thereby reducing the ESI over the overall towards zero (if everyone was equal).

Alas, it's nothing new. :( Several people have reported one ongoing issue with the derivatives (early created tracks don't show up for derivatives) for many months, possible years.
Disclaimer: if this is corrected, I wouldn't know about it due to current SP.
