Arcade Expo 5.0: My review

My 4th attended event...It only get bigger and better. Id guess easily over 8000 people walk through the doors throughout the weekend.

The most popular game: The Big Lebowski (Only 21 made, "smuggled in from Europe). Huge crowds around that one, ready to play for the first time. As predicted, always a wait to play it. (Of course, well worth it).

The biggest surprise: The very first unedited "private viewing" of "No Princess in a Castle". (Its about time) Last to walk into a dark theatre, as I almost missed it! (Just the beginning 15 minutes). Not too bad actually!

The most anticipated game: Well, its personal, as they are my favorite band. Sterns - The Beatles Pinball. Of course, I played that first (for the first time), and the very last! (Last year, it was Sterns - Star Wars. My favorite franchise film) Now only if Stern honors my request for a "Dallas Cowboys Pinball", it will one day be the "Trifecta" to my future gameroom!!! (pipe dream)

The most underrated game: A retro "Space Odyssey" pinball modified with actual past transmitted, NASA space missions. It was on full blast surround sound, hidden within the other retros, people sadly walked right by it as if it did not exist. So cool!

The most unique items: The brand new Walter Day Trading Card museum, with lots of TG historical posters and memorabilia.

For the first time, I recorded playing over 100 separate pinball games, (some multiple times) They will eventually ALL be submitted to TG, to help "revive" and hopefully stir up the competition, that the pinball platform once had.

A special thanks to my tag team partner, William McEvoy AKA @datagod , who lend me his GoPro for the majority of the weekend. I went so crazy, we even had to take a quick visit to the local Best Buy to pick up 2 64 Gig Flash drives and SD cards! He also recorded a few games of his own as well. (Stay tuned FOLKS)

All in all, it was a great weekend, and an experience as always.

Didnt I mention I love pinball?

although I didn't get to play as many games as Mark did I feel much happier about my own skills than I did before. because I think that when we did go head-to-head on various games we were a good match. Mark is definitely more dedicated to pinball than I am. But once I get in there my skills start to show I'm a sharpshooter after all my love ramps. Marc gave me some great tips on twilight zone and a beep the previous high score and I will be submitting that for sure. Marc is a fabulous host we have the best weekend ever it was great !!
