Just curious when it comes to guiness world records, does anyone know how I can get a certificate from them for a verified score that I got? I havent seen a way to link my twin galaxies acc and guiness acc to get the option to get a certificate, so would I have to email gwr and try to confirm its me? would appreciate any help

I have no experience with this but in the 'WhereTF is my Certificate' thread, @starcrytas describes the process how he received his. Link: https://www.twingalaxies.com/mikeemcfly/wall/6835/certificate-wait-time#comments it's on the bottom of page three of the thread.

@Jace Hall Does TG and Guiness even have a relationship anymore? I'm guessing that after the Billy Betamax, Todd Rogers banning and just that current state of TG they don't want anything to do with this... ?

Being honest, Guinness recognition was actually why I joined the site in 2016, I didn't really have a concept of how Twin Galaxies worked, only that it was the "route" to Guinness.

It's fine now, not sure what my life would be like w/o Twin Galaxies which IMO is pretty much fine, except some tech tweaks, but no doubt, telling people I was going to be "in the book"(Burgertime-J.D. seemed pretty sure it would be there...) and it not happening was one of my more embarrassing moments. Not TG admin related, lol, but right now I'm dealing with people mebbe not believing me that I'm on an honest to goodness trading card, because I don't have any, and kinda worried I got lost in the shuffle there...

Would be nice to have Guinness association, but tbh it doesn't really matter to me either way, I'll play, regardless.

    :)

I did a bit of googling and found these on the Guinness web site:

    http://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/news/2018/1/guinness-world-records-statement-512405

    and

    https://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/Campaigns/twin-galaxies

Dated back a year ago and the latter link has no date and seems to be geared towards more modern day games... ?

@Rogerpoco You dream of being in the GWR book may still happen! You can be in the same book as these guys:

This and the guy with the longest finger nails is all I can remember from that book :)

    Haha!

I was definitely a "reader" as a kid, and would thumb thru a new one when it came out, I remember those guys and the curly fingernail guy, lol.

Not really sure why, but kinda funny now, the first thing I would always look for was the land speed record, they almost always showed a little pic of the newest fastest "rocket car", and I remember digging it.

My plan of World-Dominance is slowly coming together, I'll force my way in somehow.

    :P

I got one a few years ago, after one of my scores got published in the book.

I remember signing up to the site and sending emails to them asking if I was entitled to a certificate.

The said yes and then after 9 months Andy many emails ( many, many, many emails ) it turned up.

Im not sure how it works now but at least you have an option

    Good luck!

On an unrelated issue Dave confirmed the relationship between TG and Guinness continues. My own recollection is that while TG was a route to Guinnness, the latter maintained autonomy to choose which scores/feats they wanted to include in the book, and by extension qualify for a Guinness certificate. There was a track from a couple of years back that GWR established for such a purpose.

its more than just a track, the entire GWR platform is from them. last i checked, we technically have the abilty to create tracks there due to a weakness with the software, but we're not supposed to and any such track would be deleted once admin was aware of it.
