Certificate Wait Time?!?!?!

Hello,


I ordered a certificate back in February and have only gotten 1 response as to where it is. I was told it would ship the following week but that was 6 weeks ago. Has anyone else had this issue or know who I need to contact.

    I tried to tag admin staff on the previous post and it got all screwy. Please refund people their money and disable the function. It is obvious you cannot deliver the certificates.

    posted this in John's thread about certificates as that was the last time I saw Dave chime in, but who knows who is seeing what these days:

    To Dave:

    Don't follow up internally, use your position as head custodian and clean this mess up...get into paypal, follow up with every person who doesn't have a tracking number with confirmed delivery attached to their order by sending an email of apology and fully refunding their order.

    If you can't do this pretty simply task to make things right, then it's clear TG is more broken than anyone is willing to admit. If you can do it and you're unwilling to prioritize this task at this point, then you may as well openly admit you don't give two shits about this community or anyone attempting to be a part of it

    To anyone else from TG:

    If you see this, please stop what you're doing and follow through with the above and get people their money back. Not being thieves is way more important than any "big change" on the horizon

    Jesus man, why does TG provide a service that people are willing to pay for and not comply? This bugs me so much. It stuff like this that kills or has killed this site.

    I don't have the patience to find it, but a while back Dave had the nerve to respond to some criticisms of the site after a recent update/bug onslaught by saying something to the extent of "stop complaining about a service you don't pay for." Turns out, TG can't do any better even when things are paid for.

    Certificate process once payment is received:

    1) press print twice (certificate and postage). 2) put items in flat rate envelope and affix postage 3) give to postal worker (if you printed postage from paypal it will automatically update the tracking number).

    I know Franny has stepped in in the past and helped get these processed, but it seems like that's not her job. So it amazes me that the "head custodian" can't figure out a permanent solution for routinely and reliably completing the three steps above regardless to what continent he's on and then has the gall to act surprised when it continues to be an issue,.

    We do understand the immense frustration revolving the entire certificate situation and agree that it is completely inexcusable. Twin Galaxies has been going through a series of sudden and unplanned relocations which had disrupted the fulfillment process.

    We are working to sort everything out and expect to be over this bump in the coming days. We appreciate any and all patience that has been shown up until this point.

    has this been going on for over a year?

    also, all these relocations sure didnt make it impossible for dave to ban @Ninglendo when he started bad mouthing dave. pretty sure clicking the print certificate button doesnt require a whole lot longer than clicking the ban button.

    the old tg was very good at shutting down "trouble makers" while ignoring substance. i'm not saying the two are mutually exclusive, but the focus needs to be more on substance. when more effort is put into form than function (and not all that much effort into form either), well, we've seen where that leads

    Can you stop feeding us these BS lines already? Some of us may want to hope for the best from TG, but that doesn't mean we're stupid enough to believe this is the cause of the problem.

    "sudden and unplanned" explains why someone who ordered in the last 3 weeks or so might not have gotten their certificates. There are folks who go back months at this point, and you all have never had the process actually working somewhat decently even for a short period of time.

    I also love how vague even your statement of getting this fixed is - "expect to be over this bump in the coming days "

    no definition of an actual number of days means you can just claim there were more "bumps" than you thought and you're still working on it with no end in sight...

    I'm going to spell this out again:

    Solution to the current problem:

    1) Everyone with an outstanding certificate order gets refunded immediately.

    2) Certificate ordering process gets shut down (if it isn't already)

    3) TG figures out a third party to fulfill certificates and allows them to take care of the process.

    1) and 2) can be done within 2 hours tops.

    3) can wait (or be put off) indefinitely, but at least TG won't be stealing people's money.

    If you can't find two hours before the end of this week to sit down and complete 1 and 2 (or to get all the certificates sent out if that's what you'd prefer) then "relocation" is the least of your problems

    I pretty much gave up on getting a certificate from TG after hearing all of these issues.

    Just for a comparison, Guinness was quicker with their free certificates in my case.
