MOWE 2 Masters Tournament Result

Name: Masters Champion - Swaggers.JPG
Views: 1044
Size: 102.1 KB

Congratulations to Charles Adams (Swaggers) on shooting a low round of 57 at August National Golf Course, an impressive 15 under par on extreme settings. It was a close contest with Roger Blair (Rogerpoco) only one stroke behind with a 58 and Shaun Michaud (MyOwnWorstEnemy) just two stokes back with a 59.

Over the course of the tournament, we added a new game to the database, created two variations of full course tracks (default and extreme difficulty settings), and generated over 15 Expert Skill Index for the tournament competitors and Twin Galaxies leaderboard.

Although we didn't meet the competitor minimum to qualify for the medal prize tier, the Masters Champion does deserve an award, along with the accolades achieved from video game performance excellence. In the spirit of the early days of Activision, @swaggers is a awarded the Official Masters patch. Its up to Charles to find a green jacket to affix the patch.

Stay tuned for the next MOWE Tournament and a possible mash-up video of the Masters tournament highlight.

Awesome! What a close tournament. I was worried since there was only 3 of us competing but everyone showed up and played hard for every round. Do plan to go back and work the early rounds again now that I have a more seasoned golfer. Thanks to @MyOwnWorstEnemy and @Rogerpoco for being great competitors!

next maybe a tournament involving racing around the biggest racing weekend of the year (memorial day, Indy 500, Monaco, & that thing that runs sedans down south) :)

Hehe-them open-wheelers never forgave us for bringing our Taxi Cabs up to race at Indianapolis.
    :)

I had just started getting into Formula racing when the Indy tire fiasco happened, that was truly odd.

I have a few ideas for future tournaments. Suggestions are always welcome. A race themed tournament is on the short list. I'm thinking about setting up a poll to see what type of game / theme interests the community. A few random thoughts are:

    - Racing (Indy 500 or F1)
    - Drag Racing (US Nationals - Atari Dragster Dispute Tribute)
    - Horse Racing (Triple Crown)
    - Fishing Derby (Various Real Life Competition)
    - Retro Tournament (Old School Event)
    - Air Combat (Historic Events)

Haha-I have NHRA Drag Racing 2(or something)for PS2, isn't tracked, but I did want to check out a modern drag racing game(never actually played it...).

All those sound interesting, and it's a list that's hard to add to, good ideas.

Took me a second to figure out where this was relevant enough to post, this seems right.

Yesterday was the best day ever.

I like to feel good for other people, I think we know that, but I really don't think I've been happier for another person in my entire life.

Watching Tiger put it all back together this season, and then pull it off at the Tour Championship...

Goose Bumps that won't go away.

    :)
