MGLXLIV - Game 7 ~ Time Scanner (closes Aug-2)

Tilt …

MGLXLIV – Game 7 ~ Time Scanner

Nominated by gamer: @timmell

ROMSet 106: timescan (set 2, system 16B)

Game Story:
A true video pinball machine. The goal is to keep the ball in the game by bouncing it back with the paddles. Hitting bumpers and other obstacles rewards points and completing a table requires mastering certain objectives which depend on the table on hand. Every table is divided into two parts with their own paddles: the game only scrolls if the ball goes down.

Score Submissions:
Please make a new post for each score you post, with your score as the first line of your post, along with a screen shot showing your score and initials. This game finishes Sunday August-2, 5am EDT eg NY.

Please make sure your settings are as above. No continues are allowed when submitting a score and must be played from the beginning of the game. No pausing. No auto fire allowed. No stitching of INP files with save states. Single player only. No cheats allowed.

Games can be played on the arcade machine. You must ensure the game is at the MGL game settings for the submission to be valid.

GAME 7 … Breakout if you can …

Yes well real pinball costs perhaps USD 3,500 for an ordinary machine. Then the fun of all the cost of maintenance and breakdowns. Playing at the "rare cades" costs a bomb, and a lot of them don't work properly anyway.

Let me see, how much does it cost to play this game in the MGL? Hmmm ... it's free!

    Day 17 of 17.

    Final Results ...

Rarity has been the theme so far in this MGL, and this game was no exception. Of some of the golden age arcade games that are pinball, Time Scanner from SEGA seems better than Varkon from Williams, and even better than Pinbo from Jaleco. If you haven’t played the last 2, then you may want to try them. You can also stick around the MGL for their eventual release, one day in the future. For the now, 17 gamers managed to score over 0.5 million points on Time Scanner, which is a great achievement. These were DaLar, magrinder, ILLSeaBass, Blackflag82, Joonas, Prow, kane, Pessimeister, RichyS, Derek, creech, RMacauley, snjspiteri, Foot, Bensweeneyonbass and timmell from 2nd place to 17th place, and from 2,828K down to 506K points respectively. Well pinned gamers!

Congratulations to John McAllister for winning Game 7 with a score of 4,033,980 points. With strong perseverance against the game engine and the computed virtual physics, he managed to secure an excellent 3rd game win of this tournament.

Three games are left to play in this MGL. Right from the start, the end of this tournament was destined to be telling. Straight ahead may be the best way to go, however you must decide for the 3 options.
