Anybody know how "canceled" submissions end up getting "rejected?"

I have NEVER been able to get cancel to work. People say "just click the cancel button". It simply does not work on my account for some reason.
I have PM'd admin, they say to use the cancel button, but again, it doesn't do anything!

Now if I get something wrong, I just vote No myself, and bump for others to do the same, seems to be the quickest way to get something to go away.

What you cancelling, btw? Haven't noticed any problems, have watched all your scores, lemme know what to unvote on, haha!

Sorry, Man, I got the same problem.

These were actually OLD submissions that I had cancelled a while ago that just popped up telling me they were rejected (taking a BIG bite out of my credibility in the process). None of them were even IN the "adjudicate" forum, they were all in the "cancelled" forum. So like I said, I have no Idea how it happened and it's also not the first time for me too.

OK, I just noticed, I got notification(and a cred hit) from my Peter Pepper submission, and it has been gone from the adjudication forum for a while, I thought it was a done deal.
    Yeah, pretty confusing, for sure.

I lost another 100 points for a cancelled submission that was since rejected. I find this very frustrating. It is not obvious to me that this is supposed to happen. Can we even unvote on cancelled rejections?

I guess I will have to be more diligent.

Data-I'm getting immediate notifications when people cancel, but it doesn't give me the opportunity to unvote, when I go to the sub, it says the poll is closed. It should give us a small window, at least.

If a poll is cancelled, the votes should not count. Otherwise somebody could just open 100 garbage submissions and get their buddies to reject, then cancel. Wait a while and it gets converted to reject, making the voters in this case winners because they were "right".

This is the second big clean up of the canceled subs. I learnt my lesson from the first one
and checked everyday to see if I had any green ticks.
if I did I just unvoted them. It went from a green tick to an empty box.
I was wondering if anyone did get caught, looks like some have

Or someone could start a good sub, wait for a lot of yes votes, then cancel it, just to cause others to lose points. I guess people would catch on to that pretty quick tho.

Cancelled submissions just shouldn't effect players who either submit or vote on them.
