Why I won't be showing my PS4 in my submissions

Hello everyone, I've made a video explaining why I wont be showing my system. Sorry for the heavy breathing, shouldn't have kept that phone so close.

Thanks for watching.

Just get a second webcam for the console. Also an easy way to get long recordings is to stream rip your stream. Or do a local recording with your streaming app. X spit is good for this and the file sizes are very manageable.

From 1:35 to 2:24 of the video You Gave Reason why .

If take all that Out Before Any of your 40 Minute to a Hour Half Multiple Game Attempts and Record Run Recordings.

Really Easy Just Show the Playstation 4 Console System & Game you are Playing for your video Game Submission that will have 40 Minutes to hour and Half of Record Attempt and Records Score and Times Easy Many Twin Galaxy Members do it.

Separately on your Phone but making sure you show the at the Beginning Of your Video Game Submission Showing the Exact Game that you will be in your Current Video Game Submission your Submitting your Record Run of one of your 40 Minute to Hour and Half with your your Cell phone

Pikie Sukola you just you did this Video 4 Minutes 40 Seconds worth then 15 Seconds is Easy on your Cell Phone it is Not a Landline you Video Anywhere and you Own the Cell Phone does not weigh 10 lbs it would be Really Easy do.

Both Computer and PS4 Console System will still be in your the Closet.

    1. What Are you using to Record all your Video Game Submissions.

    2. Cam Coders are Cheap at Walmart less than $75 your choice of Course.

    3. Are you Recording form the Computer or from a Video Recording Device Outside of Video Game Screen.

I rather you Video Record the Playstation Console System with your Cell Phone which will take you 5 to Max 15 Seconds But Showing Video Game your Playing & Game Setting Menu And Start which will what your Submit to Twin Galaxy

and you Can do a Boot-Up, show and That will on your Other Recording if I am Correct from your Computer

Here is Below is My Concern

    not other Twin Galaxy Members

this is What I feel it will Open Pandora's Box his will bad for Twin Galaxy my Opinion.

PCSX4 is a semi open-source research project for emulating PlayStation 4/Pro games on Windows and macOS. The first and the only PS4 emulator allowing you to play PS4 games on both PC & Mac. PCSX4 is written in C++, It can run most of the PS4 exclusives on high end machines. There will be frequent releases which you can grab from download section.

I'll preface this by saying, I'm not terribly familiar with PS4, and won't be voting on those runs until I have a chance to become more familiar with it.

That said, I appreciate this video and the explanation. This makes sense to me. I can see the argument for recording the console and game on your cellphone, walking into the other room and showing the webcam/screen up and running and then ending the cellphone video (so there is a cross between the two videos where they can be matched up). But, this will also require an additional video be uploaded each time and some extra hassle for Pixe, which ultimately seems unnecessary. Additionally, there is no reason that the startup can't be synced with the above type of emulation Juan is concerned about, and we'd be none the wiser.

I understand Juan's concern about the open source, but I'm curious...couldn't this new theoretical file just be burned onto a CD with the game artwork printed on it? If there is something I'm missing that would keep that from happening, then let me know. But if that's the case, then showing the game beforehand isn't much different than showing a tetris NES cartridge. Sure, I see the cartridge, but what's to say there isn't a hacked romset inside? The gameplay is ultimately what has to be used to judge the legitimacy of a record.

IMO, Pixe's above video, does more to assuage my concerns that simply showing a console/game. Could more be done? Sure, but all of us could always do more to prove beyond all doubt that the game and gameplay is legit. Ultimately, every submission has to be judged on all the evidence submitted, and the absence of largely trivial things is rarely grounds for a score not being accepted.

Thanks, it seems very unnecesary to me too.

And to Fly and JJT, I realize that more cameras would solve this and like blackflag and Juan said I could record a video with my cellphone turning on the ps4 then walk out of the room and record a few minutes of gameplay that matches the rest of the direct capture. But If I add one more video, it would be too much and it would be harder to adjudicate rather than easier.

Currently Im uploading two videos in my TM submissons, one more would be just a mess.

Exactly, showing the console only proves I have a console, it doesn't prove Im playing on it. And even with video of it, it wouldnt prevent me from cheating if that was my goal.

That's exactly why I did this video, to assuage people's concerns about me not showng the ps4 when i usually show all my consoles when im recording with a webcam or cellphone. Personally I don't think showing the system is an essential thing for modern games with an independently verifiable online leaderboard. I made this video to provide some extra info, I believe submissions with double video as I'm doing now are completely acceptable and I won't go any further to prove that.

I understand people have different standards to accept submissions and if some don't want to vote on my TM scores thats completely fine with me.

    Thanks.

The only reason I want to see peoples' consoles is to make sure they're playing on the system they claim.

With the PS4, like the Xbox One and Switch, I don't have to worry about that. If your video shows a PS4 UI, then I know of nothing it could be but a PS4. PS3 and Xbox 360, again, as long as we're seeing the console UI, I don't believe it could be anything else. And I don't know about the Wii U.

In the past and present, direct feed is fine to use, if that is your personal preference.

Notice that your #1 objector comes from one "wiki happy spam adjudicator", who has zero experience, and hands- on knowledge of the PS4. I assure you, you really do not need to go out of your way to please him, as the majority of us active PS4 players/submitters/competitors know exactly what to look for as sufficient evidence.

The PS4 main menu screen and/or the PS4 internal blue screen recording frame (to stop the internal recording) is sufficient enough evidence for the .99787854257% of us with common sense.

    Game on...

it can be a reason to abstain but not reject (at least not yet). As much as the queue needs to move quicker, i also think more peole should abstain on things they dont know about. nothing wrong with abstaining and letting the experts decide.

If anyone mentions the lack of boot up just point them here or post your video into the submission thread. :) Otherwise, as @Marcade said above. :D
