State of the 2 player records

Hi, I remember seeing a discusison about this topic a few months ago but I don't know who started the post or what was the tittle of it and I can't find it so I decided to post this.

I know lots of gamers around me, but none of them are really interested in uploading high scores to websites and I understand it, most of them just play just for fun and they aren't really interested in pushing their limits on a particular game and that's fine.

Recently I met a very good young gamer and he is not very interested in joining TG but I know that if I were to ask him to play a 2 player game with me to submit a score here, he'd probably say yes, and maybe he will get the taste for score chasing after that. Obviously the first games that comes to mind are Snow Bros and Sunset Riders, but before I ask him and we start practicing, etc I would like to know the current stat of the 2 player scores and if there are any changes planned for a near future.

The info I have is that you have to create a separate account for the 2 players which in my opinion it is the less efficient and attractive idea for the situation. I don't want to have to deal with 2 accounts and to have my ESI and WR count in two separate accounts either. So if this is how it's currently going, I won't bother.

In my opinion the 2 player scores should be as follows.

-Both players submit the same score to the same track from their individual accounts, and the submission page has a new camp to indicate who you played with.

-Both players get the respective ESI and in case of a 1st place, the WR count.

That's all, thanks.

Both methods have been used (1 x account for the pair or 2 separate accounts). Pick whichever method best suits you. :)

I'll settle for any solution where player 1 and player 2 both get the score attributed to their main account.

I have a co-op account since my friend isn't really interested in submitting scores by himself hasn't really been an issue to me except that when submitting, it uses my first name and his last name.
