Thank you. I'd like to take credit for having this home computer "museum" but it is actually owned by a professional programmer named Greg (think his code is GDL here at TG).
I took a 2 hour drive to record some of these obscure ports like above. Talk about a walk down memory lane, the emulators don't quite capture the experience....
I am blown away by this game. My memories of Vic20 are pretty harsh (black and white, ascii graphics, etc.) Obviously I was wrong.
Good game, accepted.
check out "Atarisoft." I was previously unaware of them but there is a WHOLE selection of arcade greats pumped out for these consoles/computers. the berzerk style playing with 1 joystick is a let-down. they should have added keyboard functionality or something.
Greg was nice enough that he opened that cartridge box fresh from its plastic wrap. That cartridge had never been played in how many friggin' years of waiting. he he he.
Definitely. Their ports on the C64 are amazing. Donkey Kong and Mario Bros immediately come to mind. IMO, they're the best versions for the 80's computers.
Accepted...This wasn't one of their best efforts, but you did what you could with what you had to work with!
