That's one way of putting it. Another is that it's on hold b/c you're bailing out of TG before tying up all your loose ends...
Well, as Robert wrote in hes other post, hes TG obligations have taken him 8000 hours of hes time. That makes 1000 working days.
He does not get paid or anything, so your remark is out of line. I'm sure everyone is grateful for Robert's work here. He does not have to explain anything.
Scott:
While I do regret no longer being able to be part of TG, these \"loose ends\" you speak of have already been turned last evening over to Kelly and Brien for discemination between remaining TG staffers.
I don't give a damn what YOU think about me personally tying up these \"loose ends\". The entire project, with an estimated time of completion of approx 9 months, was undertaken out of business necessity after the TG staff decided based on all input that this had to be done. There was no mandate that stated that I personally and absolutely had to see it thru to the end. I didn't get paid for any of this, after all, and still volunteered to take on the project.
The reasons for my departure are none of your business. This is a TG internal matter, a concept that to date you have great difficulty in understanding and accepting, but such is no longer my concern, and dealing with you, personally speaking, is the one aspect of leaving TG that I do not regret. I didn't think it was possible, but you have elevated your annoyance level to a status on par with a certain LA-based gamerwhose name I need not mention.
Knock yourself out with the quote marks...current management will have to deal with you from now on. I'm sure you will happily volunteer to assist with the physical reclass which is ready to begin. Just a few hundred hours, that's all.
Enjoy the newfound freedom on the forums.
Robert
You should have that put on your headstone, b/c that's all I've heard from you all year long....Quote:

So yeah, personally I'm not going to miss that one bit as I'm sure Kelly or Brien or whoever else steps in your place will do a better job with relating with "non-TG staff" gamers than you ever did. I've offered to help out here before (which you ignored) and I'll offer to help your successor as well. They likely won't take me up on it b/c you've done a pretty good job of dragging my name through the internal TG mud (yet another immature action on your part...) and made me out to be as terrible as some "person we can't even mention" (???).
And btw, dumping all your responsibilities in everyone else's lap isn't the same as fulfilling them. Anyone can "take their football and go home". There's nothing responsible in doing that. Do you think I get paid for any of the work I do for Digital Press or CGE? (I wish!) So please, spare us your self martyr'ing.... and do some maturing while you're sitting at home with all your new free time (and try to conquer your fear of the "quote" function as well).
Wonder what Walter thinks of you now?Quote:

stonic, ALL see many of your posts as being out of line. They are inappropriate.
If he followed what you said, then he would have just left and that's it. Before doing so, he made sure all those so-called loose ends were passed on for somene else to cover.
Those types of loose ends listed above are ALWAYS there. It is a never-ending type of task. There is likely hundreds of hours of work to do on the console track stuff. then oh...the new consoles...new games etc. More than just Robert were working on this....Robert was one member of a team. The TEAM still exists...just without Robert.
I am sure even over the next few months Robert likely will continue to get tapes in the mail. I think TG needs to update the submission pages ASAP so Robert doesn't continue to get these then have to remail at his expense.
Robert has 1000s of tapes from gamers in his possession (all reviewed...just a library in case of a challenge etc.)that he now must pass on to someone else. He will likely mail at HIS expense. He has rooms and closets totally full of boxes of tapes.
Do you even have a clue what 8000 hours of volunteer service is?
If 40 hour work weeks even, that is 200 weeks....just shy of 4 entire YEARS of work....on top of the 50-60+ hour/week paying job he has. He did this out of the love for gaming and the integrity of high scorekeeping for gaming. He used up a majority of his free time doing this.
After working a 10 hour day, would you sit down and review tapes or do other TG stuff for 4-6+ hours almost each and every day after that? That is what Robert did. Maybe you need to consider that when you make demands of this or that getting completed. Maybe that ref has had a long week already so has had little time to watch tapes etc.
Robert's service to TG is amazing. He will be missed sure. I actually hope no one else ever puts in the amount of time on a daily basis that Robert did. It oveall couldn't be that healthy for him. It turned into a second job...an unpaying one...perhaps an obsession. I couldn't understand how Robert could put in so much time toward TG. It is something very few can do for the length of time he did it.
It is TG's responsiblity to follow through and complete the tasks that TG is working on(the so-called loose ends)....not Robert's.
stonic, I hope you can treat whoever you deal with at TG from now on with a little more respect of the actual service they are providing with NO PAY and in most cases some expenses of their own like phone calls back and forth and mail etc.
Read your posts objectively and you'll find you've done most of that by yourself.Quote:

Thank God for Robert Mruczek. He has been the glue that has kept Twin Galaxies going for quite a long time. He is brilliant and honest and completely devoted to the welfare of the hobby and the player.
It is a good thing to give him your sincere support.

FYI fellow gamers...that person Scott references is not \"Scott\"...it is an LA-based gamer who has outdone himself over the years in making lives at TG miserable.
I'd type his name in but it will come up with blank spaces.
