I've seen Jon play and he is the real deal. A true freestyle master. I voted Yes as I've watched him get to the split screen.

Just wondering if there is anyway to tell pac-man was a 60-1 or original board by the game play alone?
i know in DK it is obvious because of a missing walking sound on the 60-1 board, but for pac-man I just don't know.

I've voted to accept this score based on many pieces of consideration.
1. It's not a world record so I don't give 100% importance to it, I'm not giving it 10% either, I just don't commit every effort on a non world record.
2. He's going to one day have a perfect game, so sometime down the road this submission will disappear, or be replaced with the new one.
3. I'll take some people's word on a record. I don't know John but I've heard enough about him and others around him that that's good enough for me.
4. John has done close to perfect a few times before. To me there is no 1st place or world record in Pac-Man, only those who have done perfect and those that haven't
the score to me is irrelevant.
Had this been a perfect game I still would have voted for a yes. Again Pac-Man isn't a score based game to me, but that's just me.
If this was the evidence he provided for soem other game and was a world record I would have most likely voted No based on what he presented
but based on what some other people close to John or those that witnessed the score I would then have most likely voted Yes.

Thank the Lord the dust has settled. ...... :eagerness:
Just clearing up some loose ends here.
Firstly,I completely understand and actually agree with most of the guys reasons here for a rejection. Heck, I am the biggest advocate of authenticity and transparency in game score submission and adjudication. Like I mentioned earlier, it was really my fault for submitting the score in the first place. I heard that TG was accepting new scores without video evidence (which I thought to be odd) but with this information, I hit the submit button on the link and typed my submission to the 'TG referee' :RpS_blink:
All of my scores previous have been live and adjudicated with previous TG rulings. I wouldn't even be bothered if this score/thread was removed completely. I wouldn't even bother to re-submit it 'correctly'. It's turned into a point of focus for a controversial submission and I don't want to be any part of that.
This particular game was video recorded in full. As mentioned, the video footage was corrupt and was useless. The only footage was from the organisers (and some gamers) at the event. When I submitted the score initially, I did mention to the 'referee', I would FORWARD any available video footage.
My cab was restored by me with a full photographic log. Some of the replacement parts were from US gamers (members on here) in order for me to continue with my Pac Man progression. Even the CRT monitor was shipped from the US by a TG referee of old :fat:
The board was from the US. No expense was spared to have my cab as good as factory. You can see it here - LINK
Here's the 60 in 1 board mentioned by one poster that I apparently used, LOL .....

This all academic anyway. I feel that I'm almost having to justify my position because of a mistake I made with the original submission. Perfect is coming soon enough and this episode will pale into insignificance.
Good luck to Jace and the TG staff with their continued great work on what still is the most respected name in video gaming.
