Asteroids n' Donkey Kong - Atari 2600
Back in the 80's there was a national competition for Asteroids.
Does anyone know what setting this competition was played on??????
Does anyone know where I can get a list of the results for the regional competition and finals?
I also would like to submit this as a new track request.
Rodrigo.....your asteroids 26 hour attempt is impressive. I have planned on taking down this record also. Your next attempt better be a long one :D
I have also been thinking about reclaiming and holding every single asteroids record that there is for the atari 2600, 5200 and 7800.
On a side note.....I would also like to be the first person to score 1,000,000 on Donkey Kong 1 (B).

You wouldn't be the first. Todd Rogers already had a verified score of 15,000,000. It was removed because someone owned a rom that is claimed to be different in that it becomes impossible to clear the rivets board at ~850,000. My rom(s) are not like that and no one else has been allowed to scrutinize this mysterious rom.
You should make sure that your rom matches the "accepted version" before you even bother submitting a score higher than the current record. That's why I never have submitted....

Or use the console :)

Todd did use the console. TG is ruling that the rom on his cartridge is somehow different. But his seems to play the same as mine. My point is that the Rom being used for the comparison may be different from the "standard" cartridge/rom version. :?: :?:
Todd Rogers' Donkey Kong 2600 Score
Here is a link to a video showing me clearing the \"Freaky Fireball\" screen at 800,000+ in 2600 DK without losing a life. This is using the standard Coleco Rom.

Todd's score should be re-posted on the scoreboard.
