Former referee Robert Mruczek was the person who removed them. The only score he gave (multiple) reasons (i.e. excuses) for removing was his VCS Donkey Kong, all of which I proved false. Luckily I made a copy of all the VCS high scores right before this started happening.
so he just started removing high scores? no wonder I am not hearing from Todd. ;)

There was more to it than that, but not all of it was made public.

This is actually kind of disturbing, one cool thing I love about Twin Galaxies is knowing that scores that I put up will always be listed....years and years into the future....it's kind of upsetting to hear that one day they might just be removed for no apparent reason. :|

There are very few reasons why a score would be pulled and a thorough process in the Score Challenges.
Re: Phoenix(2600) world record at MGC 09!!
is this the reason why Rob left TG?

Mr. Stilphen, I am replying as I wished to make a correction to your statement that Robert was the one whom removed that score. Robert had absolutely nothing to do with the removal of that score in any capacity.
If you have any additional concerns or questions, you are more then welcome to fire off a Private Message for additional discussion.

I believe Robert posted a thread on why, but I don't remember this being a part of it, no.

Mr. Flewin (and everyone else)
I have no way of knowing how many scores Mruczek has removed, or how many he approved that shouldn't have been. There have been enough instances of both that any of Mruczek's decisions should be under review at this point. But if you or anyone from TG knows who removed it and why, I'm sure the last thing they'd want to do is discuss it openly (that has never been TG's "m.o.", which is one of their less-than-welcome traits). All I know is, I personally made a list of what was in TG's database when Mruczek took over, and several of Todd's VCS scores were removed during his tenure (as a senior ref). These were scores that were entered by the previous senior TG ref.
Scott
PS: I've tried private discussions with several people at TG for the past several years, without any positive results. Feel free to reply privately if you must, but I'd much prefer to discuss things openly.
