Let the Contest Begin !!
Hello fellow gamers:
The "Crazy Bounty" contest has officially begun. Currently it is viewable in the "Breaking News" section, but will shortly make it to the TG front page and then via worldwide press release.
Take a peek. Read the contest parameters carefully. As always, use this forum for asking any contest-related questions.
Best of luck to all !!

You should post the rules in this forum as this is the intended central repository for the contest.
Just a thought... :)

Crazy Party
Man am I out of practice! 1.06.10 is the best i can do, but since I haven't played the title since July 2001 almost 2 years ago I suppose this is to be expected.
Anyone remember the best path?
LOL
I'm just a shadow of the man I used to be huh? Thats what a 9 to 5 will do to you!
Bring back the crazy days of sitting on your arse playing CT for 8 hours straight. Oh university how I miss you....sniff.
Any words of encouragement, paticularly from my arch rivals the metroid team would be greatly appreciated. Gotta get back in the zone!, im 25 now and no spring chicken anymore!
Here's hoping for a return to form...

All Ya Needs to Know !!
Hello Stuart:
Okay...as far as "Crazy Party" goes, there were multiple paths taken in the summer 2001 competition. I'll refer to the passengers by number first, and then describe the various paths. Each lead to sub-1:10 and some are more efficient than others. Considering there are no moving objects other than yourself, the only truly random aspect is the type of cars surrounding one particular passenger...that's it. The rest you have 100% control over.
Passenger 1 (GROUND) - by phone booths
Passenger 2 (GROUND) - by boxes
Passenger 3 (GROUND) - between cars
Passenger 4 (ELEVATED) - on top of spiral near passenger 2
Passenger 5 (ELEVATED) - up the ramp past the pins near passenger 3
Passenger 6 (ELEVATED) - left side after jumping off ramp
Passenger 7 (ELEVATED) - right side after jumping off ramp
Lastly, it is important to remember that the final path to the goal area initially leans to the right, so approaching from the left is easier than from the right, but it all comes down to personal choice in the end.
Here now are the various paths executed by various top players using the above numeric references...
1-5-3-4-2-6/7
5-3-4-2-1-6/7
1-2-4-3-5-6/7
5-1-2-4-3-6/7
5-1-2-3-4-6/7
6/7-1-2-4-3-5 (the slowest)
The first three are the most popular.
As for the "6/7", the preference comes down to the player...I've seen great performances approaching either one first.
The real pain in the (you know) is Passenger 5 from a technical standpoint, and Passenger 4 from an AI standpoint.
Passenger 5 - very tough to execute the 180 degree turn after climbing the hill on a slope at high speed. And depending on your next intended passenger, you had best face the right direction when you next speed up.
Passenger 4 - my own personal nemesis !! This guy runs like a chicken when you come to a halt, sometimes wasting 2 seconds to get in the car. Very frustrating.
Hope this helps !!

Best of Luck !!
Hello Cristiano:
I'm greatly lookin foward to hearing how you do. Stuart is already down to 1:06 and I did a slower 1:11 the other day, but only three people got down to the 1:02 range and lower to date.
Like I said back in summer 2001, this is the event that separates the men from the boys in "Crazy Taxi" !!
Good luck one and all.

Crazy Bounty...
Hi Robert!
While this is not the Crazy Taxi 3 contest I was hoping for, I think it's the next best thing. I can personally guarantee I will give one or two of these bounties my very best and I am confident I will meet at least one of the challenges. Good luck to everyone and I, as Robert, am very curious to see what kind of marks we'll all see!
Have a great day!

If you are going to attend the Classic Gaming Expo this year, Brien King will be running the Cary Taxi 1 Crazy Jump Bounty live. Be sure to drop by the TG booth for details at the show.

Crazy Taxi 3 (Dave)
Hello Dave:
This is just a special "Bounty" contest, not a standard TG event.
The summer competitions have yet to begin and will most likely start July 1st once we iron out the details.
