another accept from me. nice work Ryan!
I think this should be a no vote. This track is for R-Type, but you playing R-Type DX, which has a separate listing here: https://www.twingalaxies.com/game/r-...game-boy-color
Thanks for that link.
I'd counter by looking at Sonic 1 for Genesis. There is one entry for that game, even though the game has been released on at least 3 different Gen cartridges.
"[Please note that you may use either the Original Cartridge, the 6-Pak cartridge or the Sonic Classics / Sonic Compilation cartridge for your attempt.]"
I'm not sure why it is tracked one way for Sonic and a different way for R-Type.
I seen tons of videos here where players use a combo cart for submissions and my last post passed no problem https://www.twingalaxies.com/showthread.php/179538.
I'm curious as to why there are two tracks for the same game? I mean, i realize it's a combo cart, but as was stated previously in this thread, the prior score from Ryan, and other scores on the site, the use of the combo cart to play the game is pretty well accepted. Realistically, a combo cart is often just a lesser equivalent of an everdrive.
So I guess the bigger question is, should there be two tracks for this (the regular and DX), or should they be combined into one Rtype track since they both play the same game? @Ben Way
For the record, I am keeping this as an accept.
Here is an additional thought - If GB and GBC are ever divided in to separate platforms, how would this submission be viewed?
Is there a reason they would every be divided though? also, they've already been combined and it would be impossible to separate out older scores
