Looking to DESTROY some 2600 records...
Can i use a 7800 to do it?
I'm looking to annihilate some 2600 records and was thinking I'd rather use a 7800 if that was within the rules to do so. Plus I could take some 7800 records down too.
Let me know ASAP please, I'm getting a console in the next week or two.

No Nibbler... Just too many records that can easily be beaten. I decided I might as well do something about it.

If I remember correctly you can use a 7800 to break the 2600 games records. I think there was a thread not long ago about that.
Re: Looking to DESTROY some 2600 records...
I'm pretty sure you can too. Paul (Zimmzamm) was using a 7800 during the Video Game Summit last month, for both 2600 and 7800 games (that were being recorded and submitted). I believe the 7800 actually has a 2600 built into it and should play the same (although when I tried a 2600 Jr Pac-Man cartridge, the ghost flicker was alot worse than on a real 2600, to the point it was unplayable. Asteroids looked good though)
Re: Looking to DESTROY some 2600 records...
the 7800 is backwards comparably with 2600 games.
there a few activision games if I recall that won't work with 7800 as well as any supercharger games.
if you check on atariage.com you can prob find it in the 7800 page.
