Chicken Shift for Arcade
Holy salmonella, there is no way anyone is going to touch this one.
I manage to get through the first seven boards unscathed every time. That is pretty much the end of the road though. I have passed level 8 ONCE in about a hundred attempts. It would be much less horrific if there weren't two different egg baskets and chutes in the middle to keep your eyes on. Levels 9 and 10 are just faster versions of levels 6 and 7. (The 10th board is as far as I have reached at this time.) I shudder to think what level 11 will look like.
Surely, Robert, you haven't beaten your own bounty score on this one.

I agree totally. I love this game, and the bounties are what made me find it, I believe...But...Dang. I can NOT figure out a good way to beat that level. It's still awfully fun, though. :D

This is still a thorn in the side. I have put up two games in the 64,000 range. That is still nowhere close though. One of the games, however, I was within one egg of passing stage 8 on the first try. One more egg and I could have been close to 80,000.

Nope, Not Yet
Hi Douglas:
I haven't played serious \"Chicken Shift\" in over a year, now. But from what I remember, I passed level 8 all of three or four times in total before I stopped playing. In all but one case I reached level 11 on that very life, as stages 9 & 10 are just faster versions of the stages I pretty much never mess up on.
I almost passed 11 as well. My INP has been sent to Kelly Flewin for verification. Those double-baskets are killers !!

Hi all, my first post to this forum!
My brother (Nathan) reached level 14, which is like 11 only even faster.
You can see details and an action replay here:

Unless this is a game that can be played using a pattern, (the eggs falling the same way every time,) watching a replay probably isn't going to help anyone out immensely. The strategy is simple: don't lose an egg. Having the reaction time and the ability to mentally process things when they aren't \"where they are supposed to be\" is a different story.
Watching the first board makes me think that MAYBE there might be a pattern. However, I think that it is more like a multitude of patterns and you will have to be ready for any one of them at a moment's notice. (Of course, I'm only speculating there as I haven't sat down and paid ultra-close attention to the sequence of falling eggs beyond level 1.)

Hi all
I am Nathan White aka Aleste, the brother of Twinbee :)
I have just submitted my new winning Chicken Shift score of 159,820 (I sent it to your work email address, Robert T Mruczek, and I hope this is OK with you).
Gosh, this game is frustrating! I thought I would never be able to reach the deadline!
Strangely enough, I couldn't download the submission sheets at https://www.twingalaxies.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=996 - hopefully this can be corrected for the future.

I guess I can scratch that off the to-do list. I really didn't hold out much hope anyway.
