One of my faves, played this a ton as a kid. Good score, accepted!
Love this simple little game. Very nice score.
You need to lube the drive-head rods of your 1050 disk drive though ! :)
Interesting avoidance strategies !! Well done, this is a tough title.
Thanks Robert!
Sean, if you liked this title for the 400/800 might I recommend the following as I played the 800 platform heavily back in the day and these were among my favourites...
Arena (a 4-directional variation of "Robotron")
Bruce Lee (extremely fun but be mindful not to engage the leeching tactic with falling on enemies repeatedly in one spot)
Blue Max & Blue Max 2000 (fun variation of "Zaxxon" using classic biplanes)
Caverns of Mars & Phobos (vertical versions of "Scramble")
Dandy (a version of "Gauntlet")
Galahad and the Holy Grail (based on "Monty Python' Holy Grail"...an infinitely better version of Atari 2600 "Adventure")...this would be an excellent title to establish a speed run record for !!
Hazard Run (based on TV's "Dukes of Hazzard")
James Bond 007 (a lot of fun !!)
Jawbreaker (what the 2600 game is based on)
Miner 2049'er (MUCH harder than the "ColecoVision" version)
Necromancer (one of the most difficult titles for the platform)
Preppie (a version of "Frogger")
Protector & Protector 2 (infinitely superior versions of "Defender")
Orc Attack (simple but fun)
Sea Dragon (an underwater version of "Scramble")
Shamus & Shamus II (I think you will enjoy these very much)
Spies Demise (one of the most annoying titles for the platform)
Zeppelin (being able to read German helps but is not essential)
Zombie (think "Gauntlet" with the perspective of "Crystal Castles")
I actually do have a couple of those titles in mind. Though I think I'm going to take a break from Atari for a bit in favor of Apple II. I'm surprised about how few games are in the database.
