Live Streaming Discussion and Promotion Forum Added!

Many of us in the video game playing community like to stream our gameplay live so that others can participate and watch.

In order to help the community more easily find each other's live gameplay streams, we have opened this forum section to provide our community members a central place where they can post and promote their live streams.

This also makes it easier for people to know where to look to find interesting live streams being produced by Twin Galaxies' community members. We all want to see what you can do!

Posting your stream in this forum will also provide the Twin Galaxies site admin the ability to promote your post to the front page of the Twin Galaxies website if appropriate.

EDIT: I think this is a good idea, but I think it would be even better if there was a section somewhere on the main page that listed "active streamers" instead of just having one master list of streams in the forums.

I agree with Craig, an active streamers list like the ones at Donkey Kong Forum (http://donkeykongforum.com) or on the right of TeamLiquid (http://teamliquid.net) would be much more impactful.

i can't stream on twitch because of the new encoding software, so i pick up some Dual core computers and now i am being told told the onboard video card no good for the encoding , cannot fkin win, pls tell me your not thinking twitch is the only way someone can submit a score for verification, ill kill someone!!! not all idiot savant can play in that manner,

We can do this and will get to it as soon as we can. Right now the TGSAP is taking up all engineering efforts!

Sorry, I posted and accidentally deleted my post.

The answer is to click on the "Twitch" icon in the blue menu bar (2nd from right) and add your stream to the list of member streams.

If it were only that easy. I get this message, "Could not find phrase 'dbtech_twitch_x_already_exists_y'."

I'm already in the list of streamers. I just don't see the twitch icon in my avatar.

This site just seems to be broken on my end. Either that or I'm just plain dumb.

Hey Hector-

I actually have a hypothesis that came to me just now.

I notice that your Twitch username is FlyHec, but your TG username is Fly. I'm wondering if the difference in username means that TG doesn't recognize that the two are the same and thus fails to add it to your profile as shown in the forums.

I suppose you could test it by creating a verified TG account with the username FlyHec, though that would be a pain.

Are there any TG staffers who could maybe weigh in on this? Anyone? Bueller?

EDIT: I just noticed something else. Immediately after I posted the above, there were no Twitch channels listed for my name. However, after I reloaded, the camera icon appeared. I don't know what this means, but it might be useful data if any TG staff ever decide to investigate this.

Did you get the Twitch issue resolved. For what it's worth I find you get a wayyy faster response by simply PMing the "TWIN GALAXIES" account. For some reason forums questions take significantly longer to be addressed but they are pretty quick to answer your private messages.

When you click the Twitch Icon at the top of the page it will bring you to a page with multiple user streams.

Above those stream you should see something that says "Add Your Twitch Channel. Click Here!"

Click there, paste your Twitch URL in the box and your good to go :)

I have the same problem. My stream is featured on the page (I'm 1_upp) but I don't have the twitch channel icon?

I too, am also unable to add the Twitch icon to my profile even though my Twitch channel is already listed on the Live Streams channel list.

My Twitch channel and TG username are identical (smoke4659).

This feature is not complete. We are still working on this over the next few days. We hope to have it working correctly soon!

Hi there folks, Shawne Vinson here. I finally the Game Capture HD Device. I'm gonna do the live stream for on YouTube til later on. But mine is not affected and not started to add for on Twitch. At least I did for everything as I could.

So anyway, this is my only the beginning for my first time.
