Timer difficulty is set to '1', which is easiest. Traffic difficulty may be set to ANY VALUE from '1' (easiest) to '8' (hardest) at the discretion of the player. Twin Galaxies does not distinguish between difficulties...it is up to the player to choose the one that best meets their play-style. Starting time is set to the highest possible value in terms of seconds. Players are NOT allowed to decrease the braking time or increase the acceleration time. ILLEGAL TACTICS include: useage of the 'Crazy Warp' at three (3) key points in the game, useage of the 'Wall Trick' in which a player continually coasts in place on an angle against a wall, racking up illegally obtained points in the process, and useage of the 'Crazy Back-drift' technique while within a drop-off area beyond the time limit of the drop-off. Useage of any of these three tactics will invalidate the entire score performance at the discretion of the Twin Galaxies referee.

Welcome to Twin Galaxies, Luke. :) Here the community requires full video proof of the entire performance and, where necessary, continued footage to confirm the correct settings (I am not familiar with Crazy Taxi arcade to know what that entails).
If you have got full performance & settings confirmation in a continuous video, you can upload it on this thread using the Add Video Evidence button. Alas, if the rest of the performance is not available, then this will be rejected but vote No to your own to get a Submission Point back & you'll be that much closer to the next submission. :)

Hey! Thanks for the welcome! I've been playing Crazy Taxi for a week or so, and this was my first day on real arcade hardware so no problem in posting a higher score next time. I was hoping that it would be voted to be accepted as I recorded the whole score display and entering my name. That floor doesn't have A/C and I was sweating buckets getting that score, lol.
With regards to the settings part, I know how to do that on the PC/Steam version, but I don't believe it's possible to do it on arcade.
There are some scores confirmed without videos, but by a referee. I'm new here so have no clue about the intricacies, but who classes as a referee? The manager there has been with Arcade Club since day one of opening, and is very well trusted in the community, along with Andy Palmer who owns the place. It's our version of FunSpot here ;)
Thanks,
Luke

The referee status is the old Twin Galaxies - from ~1980 to 2012/13 everything could be verified by human visuals without no video who were (volunteer) employed by Twin Galaxies (long story, lots of detail & changes over time). Plenty of stuff was video-based in the 2000s (VHS and later digital media) but there was no hosting of videos like TG has had since 2015. Many of the old videos have been lost but the new era TG has been bringing online stuff that is still around.
Since 2015 there is a video requirement: full performance, start to finish with settings confirmation. I'm not certain of generally acceptable Arcade submission requirements but some manner of confirming the settings will be needed to confirm you've matched the rules. If Crazy Taxi can visually confirm the settings, then that's one way. It's generally a wise thing to include boot up of the game (for computers and consoles this is almost always a requirement also) and failed attempts up to the achievement in a continuous (multi-part) video. Have a look around at other recent submissions (Archive > Submission Archive > -Accepted forum) to get a better idea. :)
Hope you're not put off & enjoy the gaming. :D

Hey Luke, nice to see someone else play Crazy Taxi.
In my submission I did a video where I show the hardware in the base of the cabinet, including the game cartridge, and then I pressed the "test button" in the coindoor to show the settings menu to display the game settings.
I had seperate videos with my whole run, start to finish, including entering initials.
We need a full video to verify that you don't use any of the "illegal tactics" specified in the rules.
The first video in my submission shows that I filmed the hardware and the game cartridge and then afterwards activated the menu and showed the settings.

Ah ok, fair enough. Looks like I'll need to take a mount and cam with me next time then and get on Twitch.
I'll respond to Jacob below with a video of me playing it on PC and beating the score within just one test run on Twitch. Hopefully that gives proof enough of my skills with the game until the next submission ;)
FYI with Crazy Taxi, you set the game to its easiest settings for submissions, so aside from wall sticking, it's not really possible to make the game easier. I guess with most retro submissions, the 'normal' or 'hard' settings are used so I see the logic in displaying the settings for those games :)

I had a chat with the manager there and he's happy to let me restart the cab to verify bootup when I'm playing. As above, I'll be streaming some games from there next time but I'll need a fan by it cos it's hot as hell in that room.
Here's a quick practice game on Twitch using the Steam version to prove no wall sticking/dirty tactics:

Looks like the submitter won't be able to provide full video as this is the only video he has of the game play.
Also sounds like he plans on returning and doing another attempt with full video.
