I dunno if there's rng you can "catch" on this one or not, but I don't think so, I think you just have to guess lucky.
You seem to have one of the shots down well(the long diagonal one), mebbe the other shots would come instinctively with practice, but this doesn't seem like the most fun game to spend "practice time" on.
