For clarity, cheating isn't "risk vs. reward". That implies that it's ok if you don't get caught. Cheating is moral bankruptcy. It's a spit in the eye to everyone who works to achieve something with integrity.
Quick question... Am I allowed to vote "Rejected" even though I didn't get to see the evidence video first? And, it also seems obvious this turned out to be bogus. I just don't want to vote blindly and be part the mob, even though it seems obvious what the outcome is going to be. That doesn't seem to be very good sportsmanship on my behalf. But, the guidelines say to vote based on the evidence I have... And the purposefully removed video, and the discussion I see here is evidence for me. It's just not the evidence provided by the submitter. Does that make sense? lol
Fair enough. Thanks!Quote:
You can vote based on whatever evidence is presented to you. If there is no evidence provided by the submitter for you to come to a decision, then you are still free to decide if you believe the score is legit or not.
Is anyone aware that this Wednesday is the 25th anniversary of Tyson losing the title to Buster Douglas. Maybe THAT would be the ideal day for the official KO! :beaten::stupid:
Never knew Punch-out was such a contentious title. Who is sponsoring this submission, could it be a Don King marketing project? ;)
Long before Tyson it was actually Larry Holmes who debuted the arcade version of Punch-Out and he was on hand at trade shows to pitch the game to the coin-op world.
Here are some shots of him. The author lists this as the AMOA show but he was also at the ASI show 31 years ago. (which Jace has an original TGIS name badge from the show were Holmes appeared in Chicago).

It seemed fun teasing the other elite Punch-Out!! players with the fake Tyson 2:08.xx record video. Obviously it was stupid to submit it knowing they would see it and recognize as the teaser video I made a few years back. I knew they had the teaser vids saved on some of their computers. But at one point I thought ***** it. Who cares if I get my records removed and banned. Most of my records weren't true world records anyways. They were just TG records. I got most of my Punch-Out!! records on a Famicom system anyways because that's what I used to play on until 2011 or so. In the past few months I sent Jace a couple of private messages on here saying that I wanted the majority of my Punch-Out!! records removed because they were achieved on a Famicom console. I was trying to do the right thing and be honest. It's bothered me for years having those on this site. But if I get to return I'll only be submitting a few MAME records that you obviously can't cheat on without the verifiers knowing it and a few legit console records from now on. I'm sorry for screwing around on here and I will never do it again if I'm able to return in the future.
This is the fastest known legit time on Mike Tyson that's ever been captured on video. With respect for someone that I believe doesn't like me I have to congratulate Zach Allard on this amazing record and his other Punch-Out!! records as well as the other record holders on this great game. I've really enjoyed watching them. It's my favorite NES game because of the extreme replay value it has.

One thing that I've been wondering for a long time is what's up with the screen jittering every once in a while? I've watched the video in slow motion frame by frame and it looks legit. But at first site in full speed it looks like video editing screen jitters. I'm sure it isn't though.
One other thing I've wondered about too was the missing light grey hash line on the very left edge of the screen when playing. When I played on my Famicom it didn't have it on there either. But when I play on my old toaster NES it always shows up. You can see it when I first power on the NES in my Don Flamenco 2 record video.
