I suffer from this problem too, my phone breaks up video into 33 minute chunks.
If you have VLC media player and a webcam you should be able to record much longer than most phones allow.In VLC, you can go to Media -> Capture Device, and choose DirectShow in Capture Mode.Then select your webcam
