    It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hi Robert:

    Hit just 4K below my previous score the other night...I'm trying to press points thru 1st loop and then play safe afterwards but keep messing up at key moments. My goal this tourney is 350K and I've passed 300K a few times. Ah, well...I'll keep trying, then !!

    Actually, if you get through the 3rd loop, then once you've also completed the 1st warp into Neptune you'll be able to start going for the bonus points again during the 4th loop. The same thing applies for the 7th, 10th, etc.

    eg: In quasi-programming logic:

    Code:
    if loopCount mod 3 = 1 and
       ( loopStage > warpOne_Neptune or loopCount = 1 ) then
       doPointPressing;
    else
       playItSafe;
    endif;

    Hi Robert:

    Thanks for the updated. That s a very impressive score considering that I've never known Martin to play this title before.

    Y'now...November's Funspot trip might even mean that he'll give \"Gyruss\" at TGTS a go !!

    Nope, I haven't played this title before, my MAME clock is at 10 hours now. The heartbraker for this run is that I reached a little over 1 million with only one life lost, then lost focus and blew all the rest very quickly on stupid moves. Although there were many close shaves up to that million. Brian's game is much cleaner than mine.

  10. Know How it Feels !!

    Hi Martin:

    In my 1st submission this tourney, I gave Robert an initial INP where I breezed thru Earth without losing a life, and then I spazzed out. That's what I get for letting my skills wane. But you...wow, 1.2M and you're just learning. Incredible with a capital \"I\".
