Hey I'm Phil.
Username: Recca (from the anime Flame of Recca)
I'm from Newfoundland, Canada.
Age is 27.
I've been gaming since I can remember, around 84-85.
Interesting facts: My current video game collection is at 2150 games spanning practically
every system.
Also I'm only about 80ish games away from owning every North American
NES game.

Just joined today! Primarily did it to support Mason "Gamer" Kramer and his re-claiming of the Defender II score, but figured I'd stick around for some classic console (specifically, the NES) discussion -- and, let's face it, if I'm going to go around calling myself the Nintendo Legend, I should probably actually try for some actual official Twin Galaxies high scores sometime...
My claim to fame is as an NES specialist -- I run things over at the Nintendo Legend website, where I am in the process of playing and reviewing every NES game that had an American release. Though it's a relatively new site (couple months at time of posting), I'm making good progress, and have gotten enough exposure to garner a weekly "Five Fine NES" article feature on Push Start, an interview on episode 24 at gamer podcast Classic L337, and just having a blast in general getting to know other gamers with similar passions. Feel free to friend or follow me.
... sorry if that was a tad self-promotional... But I do plan on sticking around!

Alias on TG: tymekiller (As taken from the Timekillers arcade machine I used to own)
Personal History: I was born 4-4-1975 and I didn't start talking until I was 5 years old. In 1979 my Mother bought me an Atari 2600 for my 4th birthday. Then a Commodore 64 for Xmas at age 8 (1983). Then a NES for my birthday in 1986.... Time passes and now I'm 35 years old and married to the most amazing woman I have ever met in my life. I have a 12 year-old boy who lives with his mother, my first wife. He's hopelessly addicted to video games. Now my game system inventory consists of: PS2, Xbox, N64, NES, 4 Genesis systems (3 spare), Dreamcast, and 3 Atari 2600s (2 for spare parts).
I don't have a lot of money to throw around on games and systems like I used to. I'm unable to work due to health problems so I collect SSI Disability checks from the Government. My check is based on how much money I paid into the system while I was working.
I used to work for DELL Computers in Austin, TX back in 2000-2001 but was laid off along with 5,000 people in one day with NO warning at all. No one can describe the feeling of being perfectly financially sound one day then the next day you only have the money in your pocket with rent and other bills to pay, and mabye a month or two away from being homeless.
I try not to tell people about my 4 computer certifications or my experience because
everyone wants their computers fixed for free.
I've been an ordained minister with a PhD in Theology since 2000.
Oh yea, and according to Mapquest, I live exactly 666 miles away from Ottumwa, IA.

Like others, I discovered this site from the KOK movie. I love playing the old school arcades. I recently purchased a Donkey Kong and Dig Dug arcade because I played theses a lot in the early 80's and loved them. I've been playing DK lately hoping to put up a decent score lol.
Re: Introduce yourself...
Hello all, I'm gigi. I love classic gaming, food and music.
Thanks to Twin Galaxies for all the years of awesome gaming & score-tracking

Hi everyone, I'm Sam Miller (ZAZ1).
I've been playing video, computer, and pinball games for a good part of my life. I'm looking forward to going to Richie Knucklez on Saturday. Hope to see some of you there.
