For those who are still wondering where the old thread went, you can check it out at viewtopic.php?f=50&t=909 as I thought it was time to restart this thread.

If it's your first time on the forums, you're highly encouraged to post in here & tell a few things about yourself.

As I'm restarting this thread, I'll go again myself.

Well since I never actually posted in the other thread I think its about time I introduced myself formally.

    Andrew Barrow
    21 years old
    Living in Dunedin, New Zealand.
Student at Otago University studying Forensic Science
    Member of TG since 2004

I grew up with a Sega Master System, so am sort-of trying to familiarize myself with the Atari's and everything before my time.

    Hobbies include:
Anything gaming! (Of course) recently including collecting.
    Anything tech
Playing squash, table tennis, cricket, basketball.

My console collection (List of games in my signature)
    2600, SMS1, SMS2, Genesis, N64, PS1, PS2, PS3, SNES (no power cord :()

One thing I would like to do is have more time to record scores. There are tons of PAL variations that need benchmarks!

Feel free to ask if you would like to know more!

Well I've been active on TG since March of this year but I've never properly introduced myself so here it goes...
    Name: Mason Cramer
    Age: 22
Location: DuBois, PA. A pseudo-city with nothing to offer the world besides a decent music scene and a killer video game store.
Occupation: Baker of bread at a restruant. To break up the monotony I've created a sort of alter-ego for myself called Bread Wizard, and I spend a lot of time at work mentally developing the lore and methods of this ethereal being. There really isn't much else to do when you're baking bread for 6 hours a day.
Gaming Style: I can't remember a time in my life were I didn't enjoy playing video games. When I was a kid both my parents worked at the mall, and right outside the Garderer's Candies where my mom worked they had a Tumble Pop and a Ms. Pac-Man machine. Many hours were spent standing on a milk crate in front of those games because I was too short to see over the controls. I got a Super Nintendo for Xmas when I was 4 and still play it to this day. I'm really not into new-school games like Playstation and Xbox, but I do rock out with my Wii sometimes. I love the simplistic elegance of retro games. There's someting to be said for the limitless popularity of Pac-Man. I think it's sad how new-school gamers put so much value on essentially trivial things like graphics, or what the online mode is like. I don't care about playing games online against others in the slightest. I enjoy it much more when it's just me and the machine, like Wiebe said. Give me a couple pixels and the ability to move around and maybe shoot. I'll be happy.
Other Interests: I love music, writing, philosophy, and nature. I play guitar like I play Mario World and I sing for a local punk rock band, 40$Boner. This is our myspace if you're interested: I enjoy exploring the limits of self-consciousness, experimenting with my relationship to the world. I view things like the guitar and video gaming to be aa form of what Robert Pirsig describes as "Quality".

Well thanks for taking interest! Game on my friends! :D

Well not the first time I have been here of course, but I figure I might as well do this as a way of checking in, and seeing what is going on around here these days.

I am Kevin Booth, and I once was an official referee here for one game, Mario Kart 64. I still have that website going with staff at and I have my page that I don't update much, but perhaps I might do that here real soon...

I just got back from a huge gaming event in bumpass, virginina. We had like 27 or so of some of the better gamers from the mario kart, golden eye, and perfect dark communities gather, and man, what insanity, to say the least, but it was a blast. I'll have to give full details on that as well, but ya, I think I'll check in with certain TG people and see if anything is cracking anymore.
