3Question with TG16 cd drive
So a friend of mine gave me his tg16 unit - it includes a cd drive, but not a system card (so I know I can't launch software).
However, from what it appears, the cd drive lights don't light up at all when the system boots. Is that normal? I thought they had " - - " when it powers up. Does it need a system card for that to happen? is it more than likely that the drive is bad at this point?

if the system is a TurboDuo, you don't need a card in the card slot. Try putting an audio CD in the system and press "Run" on the controller. if the system is the one where the CD unit attaches to the back, you DO need a card in the card slot to play CD games.
