Getting past turn 4 with the minimum amount of time lost is only half the battle. The remaining 20 pylons are the key to great times. You have to take chances cutting each turn as close as possible. I found that keeping the plane as straight as possible is better than banking left then right around the pylons. You get a better angle cutting to the next pylon if the plane is flying straight.

The current record (34.49) is very fast, so fast it's borderline impossible. It had to be the run of a lifetime as I can't calculate how it's possible, yet. Not to say it wasn't done, I just can't determine how it was done after breaking down videos via slow motion. I would be very interested in seeing the 34.49 video if it's still available.

Played this games for hours, and wore out the reset button back in the early 80's. Great time!
