Just getting my name on the list, hopefully I'll get time to practice this game more in the future.

Interesting that the last accepted arcade score for this game was 30 years ago.

Filmed the board inside, but the DIP settings can be seen during boot up.

    Enjoy :)

Just after the boot up and colour test which initially shows at the bottom of the screen 00000000 and 0000000 for DIP switch banks 1 and 2, it then flicks (at around 18 seconds into the video) to show the DIP settings of:

    SW(1) 00000010
    SW(2) 00001010

which do in fact match the TG settings. No I didn't show them on the board, because I'm capable of better score and it really doesn't phase me if this score is DQ'ed.

The really good BJ players could probably watch this recording and know it's on the correct settings without even seeing the boot up or the board to be honest.

As I said, I'll film it better if and when I submit another score, but it would strike me as amusing if this is a reason for it not being accepted when there is currently a frogger arcade score being adjudicated on which will most likely be accepted and the machine isn't even opened up.

Hey John. You need to change your last name to "McAllister" . You won't be questioned then about showing PCB's!

I know you are tongue in cheek - but it really is getting to that stage.

We have iOS and Android scores which should be touch screen games and actually showing the player playing it with their hands before accepting it - only they don't show the player using their hands - it seems now that replaying a "replay" is enough.

And we have arcade scores not showing the PCB's at all being accepted.

The old TG rules were far too strict IMO (Donkey Kong for example where your score was DQ'ed if the joystick wasn't mounted with original Nintendo screws) - but I think we are now moving too far in the wrong direction.

By the letter of the law 5 years back, this score of mine on Bomb Jack should be DQ'ed, as should my Bump 'n Jump score. And personally speaking, if this score is DQ'ed and in retrospect so is my BnJ score then I would have no complaint - the video quality was horrible. This is not just TG, this is Guinness - the proof should be as much as possible beyond doubt.

Really, it's getting to the stage where a score can be submitted and let's just see how much we can't show and still have the score accepted. I made this point last year and was pretty much shouted down, this is a very slippery slope we are on - stuff, just like this poultry BJ score of mine, are getting verified when in reality they shouldn't be.

For the record, I have no issue with jjt_defender abstaining - that is his choice. But when someone does abstain from voting, they shouldn't make comments that the DIP switch setting weren't show - when clearly they were shown if you have any experience with this particular PCB. That sort of comment will make a difference in the voting of others who also know little about the game and are only voting on popular opinion just to get submission points.
