I'm confident these rules will work, I've given them much thought.

Also, I'll be writing some submission instructions for the track, explaining how to find the starting and ending frames.

Hopefully, at the end of all this, we will have a track to which everyone finds making a submission easy.

This ought to give y'all an idea of what you'd have to do, to take top spot, on this track:-

    Better get training, ladies

My latest effort is 4,027 frames, so I'm just one frame away from an optimal performance.

I'll keep striving for the 4,026. Anyone else care to join the fray? I thought Pac Man was the most arcade famous game, of all time.

You're unlikely to get competition until after the track is set up.

Note: you don't mention in the rules which ROM set(s) this might be limited to so people could play on a wide variety of sets which have Pac-Man included and still match your rule set. This leaves it open to anyone able to find the "quickest" version.
Lots of 1sts to be surpassed: what are you waiting for? Play the game, submit the score...

That would make a mockery of my intent, so this thread is going on the scrapheap. Feel free to take your 5 points back. I'll submit a revised track proposition, at some point . . .

It's not an option to take them back but thanks for the thought. :)
