    Dispute Evidence / Rationale
As mentioned in the Triforce thread, this score was also done on a bootleg board at Funspot: This score of 2,257,650 is not possible without the 1 million point last dragon bonus: Crossposted from the Triforce Black Tiger dispute thread:

    1. Black Tiger Authentic - This is the board everyone has for the most part. It does not give 1,000,000 for killing the last Dragon.
    2. Black Tiger Bootleg Set 1 - I have not seen many of these. Maybe 1 or 2 on Ebay in the past year. I was really thinking this might have been the board at Funspot for awhile.... but ROM F6 is similar to 5E and you just pointed out the Dragon in the title screen.... and the title screen at Funspot doesn't have that so I'm thinking it's not this. (Good catch)
    3. Black Tiger Bootleg Set 2 - I have not seen many of these either although they seem more common than Bootleg Set 1. If you look at the MAME rom 1 for this it looks almost exactly like 5E so I was thinking this wasn't the same board. Although, the position of the ROMs on the board you would think it would be the ROM labeled 5 for 5E not 1. I think only ROMs 1 and 3 are dumped for this board.

So I kind of think whatever Funspot has, it may be different than any of those.

By virtue of the fact killing the final dragon awards 1,000,000 points, aren't the scores obtained on the Funspot machine... well kinda unique. No-one on a "normal" genuine capcom Black Tiger board will be able to come close to those scores as has been proven by the MAME scores.

A much higher score is possible for sure.

The board at Funspot plays like Black Dragon which gives out the 1,000,000 for the last dragon. Actually, I think it plays identical to Black Dragon on the 2nd easiest difficulty. It says Black Tiger though for sure and it is all in English. I just figured I'd push it higher this Funspot.

This morning I think I scored 2,784,500. That was my highest. PJ flagged down Graham for me towards the end of the day so I think a 2,575,400 score got posted on Aurcade. So it's cool to have some proof.

Just to add some more information. Charlie confirms in this archived thread that he in fact played it on Funspot's Black Tiger and got the 1,000,000 point last dragon bonus.

I am around. :) I've actually researched this a bit as for awhile I was trying to obtain a board that plays like the one at Funspot last year but then kind of lost interest. I have not been able to locate one yet. The Funspot board is definitely different than any of the boards I have played or talked to others about. I played it last June and it does give 1,000,000 for killing the last dragon. It also plays almost exactly like Black Dragon rather than Black Tiger but everything is in English. It is definitely more difficult than the regular Black Tiger boards.

For awhile people were thinking maybe it had Black Dragon roms switched to allow it to play like Black Dragon but still say Black Tiger. I think that is very unlikely as all the language and scoring is contained in ROM 5E. So you can't just swap ROM 5E from a Black Dragon board with a Black Tiger board without changing the language to Japanese.

Can I dispute my own score?

BTW, it's just Charlie D Wehner not Charlie D D Wehner. Somehow the database added and extra "D" somewhere along the way. Maybe someone can fix that?

For what it is worth, I think the board at Funspot could be legit. (but rare) Someone else found a board that scored 1,000,000 for beating the last dragon. It looked like a legit Capcom board. I think I found the image. I'll upload both. 1st image is what I think is the rare 1,000,000 point board. The 2nd is the board that doesn't give 1,000,000 that is much more common.

That being said I'm not sure anyone has ever took a close look at the board at Funspot. So the 1,000,000 dollar/point question is what does the board at Funspot look like? :) I'm going to abstain from voting on this one. I'm pretty indifferent. I would just vote don't make 2 different tracks.

If this is some bootleg board that plays differently than all the other Black Tiger machines its no valid and needs to have the scores removed or put into a new category. Not everyone can go to Funspot to compete on this and if its obvious its not the same (Which appears as several folks have commented) seems we need to change this.
Games are meant to be fun....

TG are aware of this one - happens to anyone in the old era database with a verified account in the new database and middle initial/name in both databases (the middle initials field is being pulled from both databases, hence the duplication).
Lots of 1sts to be surpassed: what are you waiting for? Play the game, submit the score...

This is a valid dispute and should be put into a separate track, the same track as Triforce's current disputed score.

@Dave Hawksett Can we get a conclusion on this given that Charlie's score is being disputed on the same grounds as Triforce's which was deemed to be a successful dispute? https://www.twingalaxies.com/showthre...core-2-634-300 .

    Voting yes

It seems this score was set on the same machine used by Triforce (please correct me if I am wrong). If this is the case we should also move it to the new Black Dragon track. A slight technical hitch means Triforce's score migration is still pending but should be fixed very soon. I want to see that fixed before taking action on this one.

    Is this the best solution?

Yes that sounds like a good solution. This belongs in that other track
