TODO:
- Priorities!
- Use the Tilemap Manager for the road layers (when this kind of layers will be supported) for performance and better priority support. A line based zooming is additionally needed for f1gpstar.
- Force feedback
SERVICE MODE:
- Press F2 to enter service mode.
NOTES:
- Some ROMs aren't used. I don't see big problems though.
- Screen control register (priorities, layers enabling etc.) - Where is it?
- In cischeat, at the start of some levels, you can see the empty scrolling layers as they are filled. In f1gpstar, I'm unsure whether they are correct in a few places: In the attract mode where the cars move horizontally, for example, the wheels don't follow for this reason, I think
- Sound communication not quite right. See Test Mode.
WIP:
- 0.201: Removed NVRAM MCFG macros [Ryan Holtz].
- 0.200: Reworked interrupt generation. Fixed attract mode desyncs in Big Run [Angelo Salese].
- 0.199: Moved sound irq into YM irqhandler. Initialize VRAM to sane default (video\ms1_tmap.cpp), fixes ugly back pen showing up in Big Run [Angelo Salese].
- 0.192: Added MACHINE_NODEVICE_LAN flags [Osso].
- 0.179: Set default palette init to black and fixed communications RAM ranges. Added IRQ notes and bumped framerate to 60 Hz to all minus captflag/scudhamm [Angelo Salese].
- 0.178: Added video\ms1_tmap.cpp/h. Made Mega System 1 tilemaps into a device (video\ms1_tmap.cpp) and added it to CiscoHeat driver. Fixed a few soundlatches [AJR].
- 0.169: Added layout\captflag.lay.
- 0.148u4: Debug compile fix (video\cischeat.c) [Miodrag Milanovic].
- 0.147u1: Aaron Giles fixed debug compile (video\cischeat.c).
- 0.142u3: Added layout\cischeat.lay and f1gpstar.lay. Angelo Salese fixed inputs, removed digital hacks and added shifter display in Cisco Heat driver. Removed deprecat.h dependancy and updated irqs accordingly.
- 0.141u4: Added machine\jalcrpt.c/h. Breaks some driver entanglements to simplify future driver_device conversion efforts [Atari Ace]: cischeat is separated from megasys1 by duplicating some video code. jaleco decryption code is moved to jalcrpt.c.
- 0.134: Added includes\cischeat.h.
- 0.133: hap fixed interrupts in the Cisco Heat driver, fixing Scud Hammer and Arm Champs II.
- 0.131u1: MooglyGuy merged memory maps in the Cisco Heat driver.
- 12th May 2000: Nicola Salmoria fixed a drawgfxzoom bug affecting Cisco Heat and F1 GrandPrix Star.
- 0.36b11: Added cischeat.c driver and vidhrdw\cischeat.c.
- 27th November 1999: Luca Elia sent in a driver for Cisco Heat and F1 GrandPrix Star.
