    WIP:

    - 0.166: caius, Smitdogg and The Dumping Union added clone 'Point Blank (World, GN2 Rev B, set 2)' (Namco 1994). Changed parent description to 'Point Blank (World, GN2 Rev B, set 1)'.

    - 0.153: Added default EEPROM.

    - 0.151: Documented how the Point Blank/Gun Bullet protection works [Guru, R. Belmont].

    - 1st September 2010: Guru - I bought a couple of not working Point Blank PCBs with gun boards (that Smitdogg checked and re-dumped some time ago then sent here), which are now repaired and working fine. That should get my buddy at Jomac off my back for a while since they are very popular in arcades still and are often in need of repair.

    - 0.138u2: Guru, Smitdogg and The Dumping Union replaced sound data rom for the Point Blank sets that was incorrectly dumped. The new dump has been verified on 3 different PCBs.

    - 0.133u2: Brian Troha and Dumping Union added clone Gun Bullet (World, GN3 Rev B). Changed parent description to 'Point Blank (World, GN2 Rev B)' and clone 'Gun Bullet (Japan)' to 'Gun Bullet (Japan, GN1)'. Renamed (gunbulet) to (gunbuletj).

    - 4th August 2009: Smitdogg - Thanks to Brian Troha we got an English version of Gun Bullet (World, GN3 Rev B).

    - 0.127u4: R. Belmont changed Point Blank to use real C75 Namco NB-BIOS, read controls the real hardware way. Replaced pr1data.** with C75.bin.

    - 0.78u5: Phil Stroffolino hooked up a private (placeholder) implementation of zdrawgfx() for C355 sprite rendering, adding sprite-tilemap orthogonality for all games using that chip. This fixes problems with the "save Dr. Dan from the flaming torches" stage. The middle 2/3rds of the playing field block out the sprites.

    - 0.70u4: Phil Stroffolino fixes the window registers in Namco NB-1 sprite drawing, this fixes the "Tank" stage of Point Blank.

    - 20th March 2003: Phil Stroffolino fixed the gun handling in Point Blank / Gun Bullet.

    - 0.61: Light gun support [Bryan McPhail].

    - 0.53: Added Point Blank (Namco).

    - 0.37b16: Phil Stroffolino added 'Gun Bullet (Japan)' (Namco 1994). Known issues: gunbulet needs force feedback.

    - 16th June 2001: Phil Stroffolino sent in another Namco NB-1 driver update, adding gun controls but the support is not yet perfect.

    - 13th June 2001: Phil Stroffolino sent in a preliminary Namco NB-1 driver which supports Gun Bullet, but controls aren't hooked up yet and graphics roms are corrupt.

    WIP:

    - 0.153: hap changed description to 'Point Blank 3 (Asia, GNN2 Ver.A)' and clone 'Gunbalina (GNN1 Ver.A)' to 'Gunbalina (Japan, GNN1 Ver.A)'.

    - 28th May 2012: Mr. Do - Nightvoice added instruction card for Point Blank 3 (though the game currently doesn't work).

    - 0.144: Yohji, hap, Krusty, B. Munger, Brian Troha, D. Edwardson, Kevin Eshbach, R. Weidinger, J. Kretschmer, Smitdogg and The Dumping Union added clone Gunbalina (GNN1 Ver.A).

    - 14th October 2011: Smitdogg - Gunbalina arrived. It turned out to be the System 10 version so it won't immediately work but hap has been working on the driver recently so it could just start working any day now.

    - 27th September 2011: Smitdogg - We were able to win the Gunbalina auction with the help of my friend in Japan who lent money for some of the cost. Including shipping costs there is still around $150 on the tab, so please donate if you can.

    - 0.141u4: smf added correct bitswap for Point Blank 3.

    - 0.141u3: Kevin Eshbach, hap, D. Edwardson, Paratech, ranger_lennier, M. Ponweiser, T. Petersen, Smitdogg and The Dumping Union added 'Point Blank 3 (GNN2 Ver.A)' (Namco 2000).

    - 23rd February 2011: Smitdogg - Point Blank 3 arrived.

    - 19th February 2011: Smitdogg - I recently bought a wildly rare and expensive game that I've been looking for for years, Point Blank 3. I don't know why this game has been so hard to find, I guess people keep fixing cabs when they breakdown so it never gets parted out. I used to play it at a restaurant in St. Louis and it's quite fun so any rarity isn't due to it being a bad game, as is often the case... It's running on System 10, so it looks like Namco released it on System 11, 12, and then 10. Between this and some stuff I've bought in Japan, I'm in the hole quite a bit and could use some help if anyone can help out with donations. Besides that, we picked up a motherboard for the Sammy medal carts and an floppy disk updater for Offroad Thunder and I've been in touch with a guy in Japan who has undumped Deco Cassettes to lend out but the dumping situation with those is still a mess so we'll see what happens. Thanks so far for donations from: Kevin Eshbach, hap, D. Edwardson, Paratech, ranger_lennier, M. Ponweiser and T. Petersen.

    - Improve interrupts.

    - Gunbulet force feedback.

    - Music tempo is too fast in Nebulas Ray, JLS V-Shoot and the Great Sluggers games.

    NOTES:

    - Hardware: Tilemap system is identical to Namco System2.

    Bugs:

    - slgr94u, gslgr94u, gslugrsj, sws95, sws96, sws97, vshoot: Flipscreen offset/Missing Sprites. Tafoid (ID 05476)

    WIP:

    - 0.186: Moved includes\namcoic.h to machine\. Everyone gets all 4 player inputs. All games (even 2 player games) can test for all 4 player inputs and TEST switch. So for everything except Gun Bullet use the standard Namco System NB-1 inputs [Brian Troha]. Added 'Test switch' dipswitch.

    - 0.185: Corrected coin inputs, when set to individual coins slots they were reversed [Brian Troha].

    - 0.177: Fixed sound timing for some games. Did some digging into the sound timing issue in certain NB-1 games. It seems like the C75 MCU does not like non-60 hz interrupt intervals, wanting the interrupts to sync with a 120hz internal timer. By moving the interrupt callbacks to separate 60 hz timers (instead of the 59.7 scanline timer), this fixes the sound tempo in nebulray, gslugrsj, gslgr94u, clones and vshoot [Superctr].

    - 0.175: Fixed degraded performance speed in machbrkr and outfxies by disabling logerrors. Also added save state support [Osso].

    - 0.174: Changed drivers\namcoic.cpp to machine\namcoic.cpp.

    - 0.155: Added video\c116.c/h and machine\namcomcu.c/h. Improved interrupt handling, fixing raster-effects (used by Nebulas Ray and Mach Breakers) and Nebulas Ray test mode [Phil Bennett]. Implemented the Namco Custom 116 palette and raster IRQ controller as a device, and hooked it up to the Namco System NB-1 driver [Alex Jackson]. Replaced M37702 CPU2 with 'C75 (M37702)'.

    - 0.153: Got rid of Namco System NB-1 legacy NVRAM handler. Relocated sourcecode to more like our usual layout [hap].

    - 0.147: WIP Namco System NB-1 cleanup/modernization [Aaron Giles].

    - 0.144u5: hap fixed various sets in Namco System NB-1 failure to boot past post or disclaimer screen.

    - 0.144u4: Angelo Salese fixed all Namco System NB-1 sets failure to boot past post.

    - 0.143u6: Changed C352 sound clock speed to 24192000 Hz.

    - 0.143: Removed audio\namcoc7x.c/h.

    - 0.141u4: Breaks some driver entanglements to simplify future driver_device conversion efforts [Atari Ace]: Contants in namconb1 are duplicated/renamed in namcofl.

    - 0.139u1: Phil Bennett fixed incorrect road colours (drivers\namcoic.c).

    - 0.135: Phil Bennett removed the MCU communication hack from Namco System NB-1. This now fixes the music tempo in most games.

    - 0.127u1: Namco NB 1/2 work [Olivier Galibert]: Shares the memory with the C75. Renames the C75 region to C7x from user4. Implements the C75 reset/halt control. Implements the irqs more correctly.

    - 0.126u2: Olivier Galibert removed unnecessary ROM shuffling code in Namco System NB-2.

    - 0.124u3: smf fixed crosshair in gunbulet and ptblank.

    - 0.113u2: Changed VSync to 59.700000 Hz.

    - 0.104u2: Replaced M37710 CPU2 with M37702.

    - 0.103u2: Fixed some Endian issues in the Namco drivers [R. Belmont].

    - 0.100u1: R. Belmont fixed incorrect voices in the NB-1 games.

    - 0.99u9: Added sndhrdw\namcoc7x.c/h. Major Namco sound improvements [R. Belmont]: Added emulated sound and music to all NB-1, NB-2 and System 11 games, using Prop Cycle's MCU BIOS (pr1data.**) as a substitute until the original can be trojaned or otherwise obtained. Hooked it up for plain System 22 games as well, but they're not interested in passing down proper commands for some reason. Speed-cheated all instances of the M37710/C352 sound system so CPU requirements don't go up much. This also helped back off the requirements a hair for Prop Cycle and Time Crisis. C352 now sets output pitch correctly by input clock. Added M37710 (16128000 Hz) CPU2 and C352 (16128000 Hz) stereo sound.

    - 0.88u1: Phil Stroffolino fixed priority in the NB1 games.

    - 0.87u3: Phil Stroffolino fixed the advanced ROZ chip used by Namco NB2 games. The ROZ fixes unfortunately use a handful of custom code, to work around limitations of tilemap.c's roz support. Added abstraction for the tilemap system used in many Namco titles. Merged memory maps.

    - 0.79u1: Big Namco NB1 update [Phil Stroffolino]: Hardware shadow support (used heavily in Greatest Slugger), dedicated random number generator chip, sprite stretch glitch (affects Outfoxies intro), tilemap tile banking feature (used by Mach Breakers), removed several game-specific hacks; now uses dedicated CPU registers for interrupts, preliminary support for screen blanking (hides garbage in Outfoxies), proper POSIRQ handling, for scanline effects. Fixes the water effects in Outfoxies. This same feature needs to be folded into System 2 emulation, but I haven't gotten around to it yet and various Mach Breaker-specific hacks for interpretting the ROZ layer registers; these aren't yet fully understood. In particular, the 'Monster Pull' stage is missing a '3d floor'. Changed 68EC020 CPU1 clock speed to 24.192 MHz and VSync to 59.700001 Hz.

    - 0.70u5: Changed Namco NB1 driver to use mame_rand for random numbers [Barry Rodewald].

    - 0.70u4: Phil Stroffolino improved Namco road emulation and fixes Window registers in Namco NB-1 sprite drawing.

    - 0.60: Added drivers\namcoic.c and includes\namcoic.h. Swapped gfx1/3 roms.

    - 29th January 2002: Phil Stroffolino added proper rotation and zooming into the Namco NB-2 driver, making Outfoxies look much better and it is now also playable.

    - 19th January 2002: Phil Stroffolino sent in a new version of the Namco NB-2 driver, adding preliminary graphics emulation. However, it is nowhere near perfect, there is no sound and controls are not yet working due to an unemulated MCU.

    - 14th November 2001: Phil Stroffolino sent in a Namco NB-2 driver with support for Outfoxies but it isn't much to look at since the graphics ROMs aren't dumped.

    - 0.37b16: Added namconb1.c driver, vidhrdw\namconb1.c and includes\namconb1.h. TODO: Some lingering gfx priority glitches. Scanline interrupts (see IRQ2 in GunBullet). Sound CPU (unknown). Shadow pens (used frequently in the baseball games). Flip handling is incorrect. MCU simulation (coin/inputs) is incomplete.

    - 23rd June 2001: Phil Stroffolino sent in a Namco NB-1 driver update, adding Nebulasray, Great Sluggers '94, Super World Stadium '96 and Super World Stadium '97.

    - 13th June 2001: Phil Stroffolino sent in a preliminary Namco NB-1 driver which supports Gun Bullet, but controls aren't hooked up yet and graphics roms are corrupt.

    - 16th June 2001: Phil Stroffolino sent in another Namco NB-1 driver update, adding gun controls but the support is not yet perfect.
