The score has already been removed, so this dispute should be declared successful soon.

The Referee may have accidentally put in the scores and times both Atari 2600 & EMU,instead should have put it just 1 therefore getting 2 records for 1

I randomly checked a few scores on the October 2007 snapshot, and his new high scores including the Asteroids achievement were verified on September 2nd or 3rd 2006 on DVD, which suggests that they were at least submitted together at the time the track separations were taking place.
In comparing the two snapshots, it's apparent that Lopes submitted a host of new EMU world records between March and September 2006. Usually clicking on a March score in the archive brings you to a snapshot of the track that was taken after September 2006 bearing the updated high score, illustrating that the previous score was superseded.

wow nice catch juan. though air sea battle is a maxout title, i'm not sure if his scores are maxouts, that would obvoiusly make a difference. however for the non maxout titles, which arent round numbers either,it is indeed very strange to have the exact same score on both. The immediate suspicion is he double submitted fraudulently, but i dont think we can jump to that conclusion without knowing exact dates. I have to wonder if a side effect of the atari split resulted in some games being put into both platforms. could a ref have put a score on ntsc by accident? and then when corrected added to emu but forgot to remove from ntsc? who knows. definitley interesting point but we'd need more info to make accusations.

Nice find @JJT_Defender
It's amazing how a person would be on the same skill level as everyone else using real hardware but on EMU they would triple or even quadruple their scores.
