https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crazy_Climber here something interesting to note:
The difficulty level of any game was modified to take into account the skill of previous players. Hence if a player pushed the high score up to 250,000 any novice player following would get thoroughly wiped out for several games due to the increased difficulty level and would have to play until it dropped back down.If the player completes all four skyscrapers, he is taken back to the first skyscraper and the game restarts from the beginning, but the player keeps his score.

This is Tim Davidson, holder of the MAME Crazy Climber world record since 2008, and co-owner of the machine on which Brian recently achieved his amazing new world record, and I can vouch for both the fact that the machine is on the up-and-up, and Brian's superior skill set. I met Brian playing Crazy Climber at a Dinner Bell market in 1982, and he always was a better player than I was, always pushing himself to become a better player. I'm happy that he finally was able to beat the record.

    That's an incredible score!

Is there a reason the right hand side of the building isn't visible during gameplay?

The camera is mounted on the machine itself, under the marquee, and during gameplay it shifted slightly, but Brian didn't realize it.

Outstanding !! Sweet little move at the 488,900 mark, BTW. And way cool that you finished loop 2 with an even 450K.

A very unforgiving title, the game really screwed you with those falling girders. Congrats for a massive score :)

It is generally good practice to show the game hardware. In the case of arcade games, showing the game pcb is customary. Plus some of us just like seeing the tech, especially a classic title that you dont see i the wild very often. :)

    Voted Yes all good.

    Some really lovely moves there.

It is a hell of tricky game, well done.

If you could put some pictures up of the Cab and the PCB that would be great.

    Nice Work.
    Prepare to Qualify.

i would strongly encourage uploading a second video showing the board. Iunderstand this sounds silly, but its only a silly way to deal with cheaters, its however been done quite a few times that showing the board after the fact is an acceptable path for good faith efforts.
