rules on verification are purposely vague so that adjudicators arent limited by loopholes or corner cases. theres obvioulsy cases where this is good, but yeah plenty cases where its bad

further to make matters worse, once alot of adjudicators do things (or heck even a few adjudicators), other adjudicators incorrectly think its a rule when its not, and heck if everyone incorrectly think its a rule it effectively becomes a rule

TG is better setup for regular users than one time submitters. bootup is pretty important, the showing of disc and console sometimes gets debated, i think we stopped arguing cause its easier to just give in and show it rather than argue against it. you did nothing wrong. perhaps if enough people make these demands long enough they'll be added to the rules, but i think if they were added to the rules right now it would reignite a big argument from the people (i sort of agree, just not passionately) that dont want it to be the rule.

I would have no problem voting Yes on this one even if the player did not show the boot up of the console or the start up of the game, because this is his first submission, and being very familiar with the Wii, I know he didn't use any cheats or anything similar. But, the reason I'm not voting is because the quality of the video is too poor, the camera is too far away from the TV and the image is too bright to see clearly what's going on.

I would recomend drawing the courtains to help with the contrast and get the camera closer to the TV, by showing the controller at the beggining of the game would be enough, no need for you to appear on camera the whole time.

This is the first menu that appears on camera and I have no idea whats going on, it is imposiblle to tell what the payer is selecting.

Is there a way for me to update this submission with a new lower score and a new video submission proof? Or does that require me to amass enough points to create a new submission? Thanks for any info you can provide.

Submissions cannot be updated, this one needs to be voted No and your new score should be a separate submission. It costs 3 points to submit a score, you get this points by voting on others scores, nowadays it is very easy and fast to earn points, usually the angry birds and racing scores are accepted everyday, just vote on a few of those and you'll hae more than enough points very quickly.

    1. It is a good policy to show your video game console and game cartridge to show that a player is not using Game genie, emulator, cheat game codes etc.
    2. Doing a bootup on/off it shows that you are starting a new game not something that may be on a dvd, vhs tape recording or that you paused the game before starting the recording then un pause the game to record, also to show game seeting from difficulty,track/levl/course selected etc.
Doing these will will help Twin Galaxies adjudicators vote yes, the more evidence you have, the more likely voting yes. If you own the video game console and game cartridge/disk you should be able to show it, it only takes 5 to 15 seconds.

In order to get submission points Twin Galaxies members have to vote on other TG members video game submission and be on the right side of the voting. To earn 1 submission & 3 cedibility points for each correct video game submission. 3 submissions points are needed to submit a video game submission.

It looks like this player has already submitted a new score on this game, beating this score making it irrelevant. I am going to vote no on this one to help clean up the cue.

Let me know if this is the wrong way to be handling it.

Respectfully, how does that possibly make any sense? I beat my old score and posted the new record in the verified manner that I was instructed to. No offense, but a no vote here feels a bit silly. How else would anyone post a new better score?

Your new score was approved. This score was being debated because of the video quality. The new s ore already went through so there is no point in debating this one as regardless of what happens with it your new score is better. This score is just lingering for new reason.

Why would a no vote negate the new and better score they was already voted through?

im not sure i understand your ending question. you post a new better score well simply by posting it. are you under the impression this score being rejected will somehow also remove your other submitted score?

each score is indepent. the only way one score submission affects another is in case of outright cheating where the cheater is stripped of all scores. in the case of honest mistakes each score is handled individually.
