0.36b6 [Bryan McPhail, Chris Hardy, Oliver Bergmann]

    NOTES:

    - Driver: Emulation by Bryan McPhail. Thanks to Chris Hardy and Oliver Bergmann.

    - Irem Skins Game has an EEPROM and ticket payout(?). R-Type Leo & Lethal Thunder have a memory card.

    - Many games use raster IRQ's for special video effects: Scrolling water in Undercover Cops and Score display in R-Type Leo.

    Bugs:

    - All sets in m92.c: Up or Right screen offset when screen Flip is ON. Tafoid (ID 04941)

    WIP:

    - 0.222: READ/WRITE macros removal [Osso].

    - 0.205: Removed V35, V33, TIMER, BUFFERED_SPRITERAM16, OKIM6295, GFXDECODE, PALETTE and SCREEN MCFG macros [Ryan Holtz].

    - 0.204: Removed PIC8259, YM2151 and GENERIC_LATCH MCFG macros [Osso].

    - 0.203: Rewrote Irem GA20 channel update to make data 0 act as sample terminator. Note: In all currently supported GA20 sample ROMs, samples are followed by 1 to 16 bytes with value 00 (depends on alignment). Thus I assume that this is a sample end marker. The "sample end" register might be used for something else (looping?) [Valley Bell]. Assumed Irem GA20 keyon is at reg 6 bit 1 (not just any non-0 value), removed 2nd end of sample check, misc refactor and added notes [hap]. Fixed frequency update algorithm and naming [cam900].

    - 0.201: Removed NVRAM MCFG macros [Ryan Holtz].

    - 0.200: Minor cleanups. Removed MCFGs (sound\iremga20.cpp) [cam900].

    - 0.199: Cleanup duplicates. Reduced runtime tag lookups. Make EEPROM save/loadable using NVRAM device. Fixed spacing. Splitted machine configs/address maps related to main CPU ROM. Added notes [cam900].

    - 0.195: Soundlatch modernization [AJR].

    - 0.189: Removed hack used by M92 driver (HACK_get_base_vector(); machine\pic8259.h) [AJR].

    - 0.187: Put IRQ hacks out of their misery. Cleanup and kludge removal [AJR].

    - 0.186: Removed timer_set() [Osso].

    - 0.167: Added uPD71059 device to M92 driver. Kill some no longer required code [David Haywood].

    - 0.153: Small note about EEPROM size [Osso].

    - 0.151: Angelo Salese flagged M92 as GAME_NO_COCKTAIL for obvious reasons: Screen offsets when entering player 3 and player 4 in Major Title 2 and clones.

    - 0.148u1: Modernized Irem GA20 sound device [Andrew Gardner].

    - 0.143u8: Changed V35 CPU2 clock speed to 14318181 Hz.

    - 0.142u5: Aaron Giles fixed save states made while raster interrupts are active do not work in many M92 games.

    - 0.142u3: Various Irem M92 / M107 fixes [Alex Jackson]: Hooked up sound CPU interrupts properly, using the V35 builtin interrupt controller, rather than generating the vectors in the driver. Cleaned up ROM mirroring, using AM_REGION macros in the address maps instead of memcpy()ing all over the place in the DRIVER_INITs. Converted bankswitching to use configured banks. Only configure the banks and install the bankswitch WRITE_HANDLER in the games that actually use it (i.e. those with a full megabyte of program ROM). This and the previous change make the driver a lot less confusing to look at. Converted M92 driver to use a scanline timer device instead of a hand-rolled one. Added save state support to M92. Everything necessary was already saved, I just had to add the tag. However, presumably due to the core emu_timer breakage (MT04330 and MT04331) the save states don't actually work at the moment. I've already reported this as MT04333.

    - 0.141u1: Angelo Salese added sound reset line for Irem M92 HW, and safely removed GAME_IMPEFECT_SOUND flag in Superior Soldiers and clone Perfect Soldiers. Changed V35 CPU2 clock speed to 14318180 Hz.

    - 0.140u3: Alex Jackson implemented a preliminary V25/V35 CPU core. Replaced V30 CPU with V35.

    - 0.126u5: Removed drivers\m92.h. Fabio Priuli changed a lot of input related things in IREM M10->M107 boards. First of all, moved input definitions from drivers\m92.h to include\iremipt.h and removed completely drivers\m92.h (which only contained those definitions). Added more common inputs to iremipt.h and started to use that file in m62->m107 instead of local #defines. Finally, added DIP locations to all the games in m62->m107 which were missing and it implemented coinage mode 2 through dipconditions in the drivers which didn't support it.

    - 0.118u3: Added includes\m92.h. Changed NEC V30 CPU core to use a 16-bit data bus [Aaron Giles, Phil Bennett, Pierpaolo Prazzoli].

    - 0.116u4: Pierpaolo Prazzoli added wrap around x for sprites in the M92 driver.

    - 0.115u1: Pierpaolo Prazzoli improved M92 sprite drawing.

    - 0.113: Zsolt Vasvari removed unnecessary idle skipping code from the M92 driver. This allows removal of a couple of now-unused functions from cpuexec.

    - 0.106u3: Massive dipswitch update to the M92 driver [Brian Troha, Guru, Yasuhiro Ogawa].

    - 0.99u7: Pierpaolo Prazzoli fixed tilemap-tilemap drawing order in M92 driver. Aaron Giles fixed M92 state saving.

    - 0.98u2: Aaron Giles replaced direct access to Machine->scrbitmap in M92 driver with the use of force_partial_update().

    - 0.66: Changed V33 CPU1 clock speed to 9MHz and V30 CPU2 to 7159090 Hz.

    - 0.60: Improved Irem GA20 emulation, used by M92 games [Acho A. Tang].

    - 22nd January 2002: Bryan McPhail re-added Gunforce 2 to the IREM M-92 driver with some speedups.

    - 11th January 2002: Acho A. Tang submitted a modification to the IREM GA20 sound chip emulation, which partially fixes some sample pitch problems in the IREM M-92 driver.

    - 13th October 2001: Gerardo Oporto fixed some dipswitch settings in Irem M107 and M92 drivers.

    - 0.55: Changed palettesize from 1024 to 2048 colors.

    - 26th August 2001: Bryan McPhail improved the IREM M-92 driver, making Ninja Baseball Batman work.

    - 25th July 2001: Marco Cassili fixed dipswitch settings in many M-92 games.

    - 18th July 2001: Nicola Salmoria fixed several NEC CPU core bugs and errors in the IREM CPU decryption tables, and got sound working in Gunforce.

    - 0.37b8: Added V30 (14318180 Hz) CPU2, YM-2151 (3579545 Hz) and GA20 (3579545 Hz) sound. Fixed gfx1 rom loading.

    - 11th September 2000: Bryan McPhail sent in a huge Irem games update with a rewritten NEC core, fixing many bugs. R-Type Leo title screen was fixed as well as preliminary Irem GA20 custom sample player support was added.

    - 29th April 2000: Bryan McPhail added the USA romset of In The Hunt to the M92 driver, and he fixed the slowdowns in V33 games.

    - 18th January 2000: Bryan McPhail did some minor fixes to the M92 driver.

    - 0.36b12: Changed V33 CPU1 clock speed to 18MHz.
