    Artwork available
    - 22nd November 2020: Mr. Do - As the Lode Runner artwork was expanded on, I noticed there are three other Lode Runner games. As they all run on the same hardware, were all released within a two-year time frame, and i can't find ANY other info on them, i'm going to assume for now that these could have been conversion kits to the original, and would have the same artwork.
    - 0.155: Changed description to 'Lode Runner IV - Teikoku Karano Dasshutsu (Japan)'.
    - 0.125u3: Nicola Salmoria fixed misplaced sprites in Lode Runner IV.
    - 0.37b6: Changed clock speed of the M6803 CPU2 and the 2x AY-8910 to 894886 Hz.
    - 0.35b2: Renamed (ldrun2p) to (ldrun4).
    - 0.35b1: Added proms (video timing + unknown).
    - 0.34RC1: Dave W. added high score saving to Lode Runner IV.
    - 0.34b4: Changed description of 'Lode Runner (2 Players)' to 'Lode Runner IV - Teikoku Karano Dasshutsu'.
    - 0.34b3: Nicola Salmoria added 'Lode Runner (2 Players)' (Irem (licensed from Broderbund) 1986). Note: Lode Runner (2 Players) is different from the other.
    - 3rd April 1998: Malcor dumped Lode Runner IV - Teikoku Karano Dasshutsu.

    0.31 [Lee Taylor]
0.23 [Mirko Buffoni, Ishmair, Nicola Salmoria]
    - 0.222: READ/WRITE macros removal [Osso].
    - 0.208: Removed MACHINE_CONFIG macros [Osso].
    - 0.206: Removed GFXDECODE MCFG macros [Vas Crabb].
    - 0.189: VCK modernization and removed unnecessary subdevice resets (audio\irem.cpp and sound\msm5205.cpp) [AJR].
    - 0.188: M62 cleanups: Split PROM regions up by function (legacy from when MAME only allowed a single PROM region per system). Made use of multiple palettes and gfxdecode structures [David Haywood].
    - 0.186: Replaced generic latch with more accurate emulation. Fixed missing d7 on sound latch, device_reset to correctly clear sound latch and a potential situation where sound CPU/IRQ could be incorrectly cleared [Lord Nightmare].
    - 0.174: Added audio\nl_kidniki.h.
    - 0.173: Renamed audio\nl_kidniki.inc to nl_kidniki.cpp.
    - 0.168: Renamed audio\nl_kidniki.cpp to nl_kidniki.inc [Miodrag Milanovic].
    - 0.164: Flagged all M62 games as GAME_IMPERFECT_SOUND while Netlist audio is being worked on [Tafoid]. Converted Irem sound into a true device [Couriersud].
    - 0.163: Added audio\nl_kidniki.c. Added 'Netlist Sound Device' (48000 Hz) to all games. This fixes missing drums. There is an analog section in the sound board.
    - 0.155: Gamelist align as usual [hap].
    - 0.143u2: Amplified M62 default contrast, this fixes washed out colors [hap].
    - 0.140u2: Removed includes\iremz80.h. Added includes\m62.h and audio\irem.h. Take some driver_device classes of M62 (common code in audio\irem.c) that cover multiple drivers and split them so that each driver gets their own driver_device class. In most cases, these drivers got entangled because of audio/mcu code that was shared between multiple drivers [Atari Ace]. Added 'Irem Audio' sound.
    - 0.135u1: Added includes\iremz80.h. Removed includes\m62.h. Fabio Priuli added driver data struct and save state support to M62 driver.
    - 0.133u1: Improved Irem sound [Couriersud]: Revisited schematics. Corrected a bug, some discrete values and added two RC nodes from schematics.
    - 0.131u1: Angelo Salese merged memory maps in the M62 driver.
    - 0.126u5: Fabio Priuli changed a lot of input related things in IREM M10->M107 boards. First of all, moved input definitions from drivers\m92.h to include\iremipt.h and removed completely drivers\m92.h (which only contained those definitions). Added more common inputs to iremipt.h and started to use that file in m62->m107 instead of local #defines. Finally, added DIP locations to all the games in m62->m107 which were missing and it implemented coinage mode 2 through dipconditions in the drivers which didn't support it.
    - 0.125: Aaron Giles fixed low AY-3-8910 volume in M62 games.
    - 0.124u4: Nicola Salmoria fixed main character sprite not hidden at end of level in kungfum, kungfud, spartanx, kungfub and kungfub2.
    - 0.124u2: Roberto Zandona fixed wrong tile-sprite priority in M62 driver.
    - 0.123: Aaron Giles fixed ADPCM sound in M62 games. Did some additional cleanup.
    - 0.122u8: Added includes\m62.h. M62 changes [Couriersud]: Fixed wrong resistor value (22K to 2.2K) - verified on Spelunker and Kid Niki hires PCB pictures. Changed resistor network calculation based on assumption that cs line is active either on tiles or sprites color prom. Various Irem driver updates [Aaron Giles]: Properly tagged M52 and M62 sound boards, plus variants. Updated all connected drivers. Merged memory maps. Moved definitions to header files.
    - 0.122u7: Changed M6803 CPU2 clock speed to 3579545 Hz.
    - 0.116u4: Zsolt Vasvari improved color decoding in Irem M62 games.
    - 0.109: Roberto Zandona fixed priorities in the M62 driver, mainly affecting Lode Runner sequels.
    - 0.104u6: Aaron Giles fixed missing sound in the M62 driver.
    - 0.99u8: Aaron Giles added new functions memory_configure_bank() and memory_set_bank() which abstract bankswitching better. This allows current memory banking states to automatically be saved for drivers that use this feature. M62 games have been updated to use this new feature as an example.
    - 0.84u3: Andrew Gardner fixed save states in the M62 driver.
    - 5th May 2002: Nicola Salmoria fixed the AY8910 emulator which caused missing sounds in some IREM M-62 system games.
    - 0.35b12: Added sndhrdw\irem.h.
    - 0.35b11: Changed M6803 CPU2 clock speed to 1.5MHz.
    - 0.35b10: Changed M6803 CPU2 clock speed to 6MHz.
    - 0.35b7: Merged kungfum.c and ldrun.c with m62.c driver.
    - 0.34RC1: Added sndhrdw\irem.c.
    - 0.34b3: Changed lrunner.c to ldrun.c driver (Nicola Salmoria).
    - 0.31: Added lrunner.c driver and vidhrdw\lrunner.c (Lee Taylor).
    - 0.29: Removed sndhrdw\kungfum.c.
    - 0.24: Added sndhrdw\kungfum.c.
    - 0.23: Added kungfum.c driver and vidhrdw\kungfum.c (Mirko Buffoni, Ishmair, Nicola Salmoria).
