[PAL] Game 8 (A or B) Quickest checkmate
The timer begins when the cursor first touches the first piece that you move -- not to be confused with the first piece the cursor touches. If the cursor just moves over one piece to get to another for example then that does not trigger the timer starting. However, if you do move the piece, then the time started the moment the cursor touched that piece whether you selected it or not. The timer ends when you put the last piece in position to achieve checkmate. Whether you officially dropped the piece or not is irrelevant, once its in position the time stops.

Show cartridge, console, differculty A/B function to change pieces.
A few trial games, figuring out best ways...Then best time starts 13:06-13:44, watch couple seconds earlier to see exactly where the marker is when pawn moves. There might be 1 second quicker in future attemps.
    Thank you.

This is the video analysis for your run starting at 13:05.

    Game 8 selected at 0:50.

My start and finish times are based on a separate recording.

Frame when the cursor touches the first piece moved (10.143)

Frame when the final piece is in place to deliver checkmate (48.281)

    48.281 – 10.143 = 38.138 (rounded to 38.0)

The king never had a chance… Accepted!!!
